Review Centre: Pop Bands

"I was excited when I met Joe and Dora on the Princess Crown Cruise in November. I was with two other couples for the special entertainment a few times in the Bar Lounge on the ship. It was a lot of fun listening to your music and dancing. I would like to let you know what happened a funny story when I first met them. As my friends were getting their formal pictures taken just before me in line, I suddenly decided that as I was single at this cruise, I would ask have my formal portrait with a dashing man standing behind me in line. I wanted to get a picture with a handsome young man to make my Single lady friends jealous at home. Wow! What a surprise when he said “ Great, but how would you like Adorra with you . Thank you so much for taking your picture with me. I was grateful for your generosity and kindness. The cruise was so memorable for me because of all of you. Thank you again."

"Georgia is a very fine guitarist and has a great voice which is warm and appealing. Georgia is an excellent solo performer who can deliver a great 'unplugged' style performance anywhere around the vessel. She delivers 100% on every performance and interacts brilliantly with her audience both on and off stage. Georgia knows how to read a room well, and has an extensive repertoire of songs to choose from, all of which are popular hits that are favorites amongst our guests. Her charismatic personable demeanor creates a great vibe in the room and really engages the audience. Georgia has an excellent voice with a wide vocal range and quality that suits many different song styles, plus she uses loops very effectively to fill out her sound and give her freedom to interact more with her audience without having to worry about constantly supporting her vocals with the guitar. Thank you !"

"Superb!! Set list was extensive with a wide range of songs. All excellently sang, brilliantly played by the band. I’d recommended seeing or using Midnight Sun for any event you may be planning. "

"I'd heard really good things about South West Band and I was not disappointed. I hired the band for my wedding in July in Beverley. They were so organised, punctual and really friendly. They played so well and got everyone up on the dance floor. The main comment from all the guests at the end of the night was how great the band had been. Would 10/10 recommend, thank you so much!"

"We had Martin perform for my husbands 40th birthday party. Can’t recommend him enough, his performance was fantastic and we had a lot of guests comment on how great he was throughout the night. From booking through to the actual party Martin was very friendly, responsive and helpful. There was a wide range of music to choose from and nothing seemed to much trouble."

"We just wanted to drop you a quick message to thank the band for doing such a great job at our wedding reception. The guys were friendly, fun and professional. The version of "Nothing Else Matters" that they played for our first dance was perfect and the rest of the evenings song choices were spot on...everybody had a brilliant time.We had so many compliments on the band and everybody was commenting how good they were. We have a relative getting married next year and she was particularly interested so obviously we will pass on your contact details to her. We had a great night and so did our guests and we hope that the guys in the band did too."

"The Bandeoke was a huge success, which I knew it would be. The band arrived on time and set up all ready to go. They gave me a list of songs to hand out and we asked people while they were having dinner in the tipi next door to choose their songs via the QR code… which everyone did. Really great night and have had several requests to do bandeoke again at some point in the future."

"I came across Alive and Kicking on the site, I liked the video and their song list, so I thought I'd book them for New Year's Eve 2019. I had a date spare for August, so I thought it would be good to get them to play a date before New Year. After a few emails back and forth to Jan, and speaking to Rich, we were all looking forward to them playing at Calmore Community Centre. They were very professional on arrival and setting up, and have to say they went down a storm. A fantastic variety of songs from most eras and all sounded great. I'm very glad we have them for New Year's Eve, and we all can't wait to see them again. "
