"The band were absolutely fantastic at our Wedding celebration party. As keen jivers we were keen for a great band to rock our party - The band did just that and everyone was up dancing from start to finish! All our guests said what a great night it was and many are thinking of taking up dance lessons as a result. We couldn't have expected the night to go any better, and if you're looking for an exceptional band for your party, we couldn't recommend these guys enough! "

"The ultra-stylish Kit Packham’s One Jump Ahead band is now 30 years old. For this Sunday afternoon gig at the award-winning Hideaway, they performed a rollicking set of songs ranging from 1940s and 1950s jump/jive, R&B and classic rock ‘n’ roll, to jazz standards and originals, featuring the band’s core seven-piece line-up: Bandleader and composer, Kit Packham on saxophones and lead vocal, Steve Knight on guitar, Perry White on piano, Alex Keen on double bass, Kenrick Rowe on drums, Tracey Mendham on saxophones and vocals, and Simon Da Silva on trumpet and flugelhorn. Striking in a blue pinstripe suit and fedora, Packham resembled Frank Sinatra, and he introduced numbers in a clear and informative way. They opened with one of the band’s original tunes, ‘Swing It’, which immediately propelled people to the dance floor. The band’s perky theme tune, ‘One Jump Ahead’, contained one of Packham’s signature, impactful abrupt endings and deadpan Knight added even more colour to the act by performing a nose flute solo on The Blues Brothers classic, ‘Minnie the Moocher’. White nailed a stunning boogie-woogie piano solo punctuated by thrillingly deep bass notes from Mendham on baritone saxophone on ‘Choo Choo Ch’Boogie’, and they even managed to squeeze in a world premiere featuring Vera Lynn’s World War II song, ‘We’ll Meet Again’: Loosely named ‘The Last Song Of The Set’, it cleverly welded an old song onto a new one. Eventually the two tunes overlapped, bringing the gig to an impressive end. The time flew; a sure sign that Kit Packham’s One Jump Ahead with its thoroughly well-written arrangements and heartfelt blend of comedy and music, had done a fine job of bringing this classy joint to life."

"We have been meaning to get in touch to thank you for putting on such a great show for our wedding day. Nicky and I and all our guests really enjoyed your sets and especially your cover of Chan Chan - absolutely perfect! Our guests have been sending us their photos of the day and there are some lovely shots of you, which we thought you might like to see. You really helped make our wedding a very special day and we so appreciate all the hard work and effort you put into the preparation and performance. It was a pleasure working with you. I loved our chats and Zoom meeting and hope we have the opportunity to meet you again. Our heartfelt thanks and very best wishes to you all. Donna & Nicky xxxx"

"House of Chords exceeded our already-high expectations. Professional and simple booking process. Friendly and clear discussion around set-lists and performance times. On the night they blew all guests away with their live performances. The atmosphere of our wedding was set by the band, who drew our guests onto the dance floor with a variety of genres but consistently outstanding playing! Their DJ sets are also perfect between and after the live sets + kept the party going through to the end! Thank you Mike and the band for everything."

"Lovely group, very relaxed and polite. Read the room well and got everyone dancing. Thank you, it really was a wonderful day. Although we booked quite last minute, they learnt our first dance song which was a brilliant version."

"I can't recommend this band enough, they are fantastic. We wanted to add the wow factor to my dad's surprise 70th and they certainly did that. Everyone was on the dance floor from the first song and I had nothing but complements from the guests about the music. They were friendly and professional and I would definitely book them again. Thank you! "

"The Bandits are my top pick for any event - they're always an absolute joy to work with, and guaranteed to get everyone dancing. We've been lucky enough to have The Bandits play several of our events, and they are always punctual, professional, prepared and fabulous. I'm continually amazed at their talent; they produce an irresistibly upbeat sound, and have a distinct sing-along-ability to rouse a crowd. Last time I heard them play I bruised my thighs after overexerting myself on the Hand Jive - that's how good they are."

"House of Chords were absolutely brilliant at our wedding. Everyone really enjoyed their sets which were tailored to us and our guests. They really got the mood going and maintained it throughout the evening, including in the DJ portions where they took our requested songs and fit them in brilliantly throughout. In addition they were friendly, helpful and professional from the start. We couldn't have asked for more."

"I've seen some concerts before in my time, but nothing like the Runaways who are a great bunch of guys, and one of the best tribute acts by a mile even beating the concerts that I've seen to date. So I would recommend for anybody to go and see them if they come to an area near you, make the effort to go and see them without a doubt! September 23, 2014, Ian reported to Ivan at The Runaways "
