"Brilliantly talented and genuinely nice guys, saw them on the Anthem, most nights end up at one of their sets but our fav was the rock set we watched. fingers crossed to see them again next year when we sail again!"

"We booked the BVB for our wedding in April at Stonehouse Court. We specified Celtic music and they were excellent – they even learned a song for me to sing with them in two weeks flat! True musicians who really know their stuff. They were punctual and did not skimp on time – not taking lengthy breaks between songs which I know some do. A really great experience – I thoroughly recommend them."

"A “big thank you” to the band for a wonderful, memorable day that made our wedding day unforgettable! Everyone enjoyed the music and the dancing. Even the left footed miseries got up to have a go, driven by your music and the attitude of the band. Pete particularly loved “The Greenfields of France” and “The Tweed”. He’s been singing them for days, driving me crazy! We can’t think of any one else that would have made our day so wonderful, (except Rod Stewart in person for Sue!), so thank you once again. It would not have been the same without you all! We look forward to seeing you soon. Meanwhile, keep up the good work!"

"Hope you are prepared for my fun villagers attending my party on the 6th May. Everyone is so looking forward to it! I am enjoying my 70 birthday holiday in Barbados at the moment but will be home on Monday. It's like the lull before the storm! Head first into party planning next week. I will ring you Tuesday with final arrangements. Where will you stay or will you drive home on the night? We will discuss my favourites out of your repatoire, which is massive. I need to know what electrics you need and starting times etc. I have about 65 coming!! We have a Hog roast and puddings and marshmallows on the fire pit! It's all so exciting! Weather is looking dry at the moment, so hope it stays that way. Really looking forward to meeting you, love Janet Duddle."

"Where to begin....we absolutely, ABSOLUTELY loved having you guys. Even though the guests took a life time to warm up and dance, they had nothing but love for you guys. Honestly, think the heat was putting people off dancing. We really enjoyed what we heard of your set and our Dads especially loved you guys. "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Amanda’s 60th Birthday Ceilidh – December 2025 Black Velvet Ceilidh Trio played at a ceilidh to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was actually the fourth time they have played at events for my family over the last ten years, and I’m hoping to have them again in future. It was a wonderful afternoon. The band’s music was cheery and infectious and soon got people dancing enthusiastically, including guests aged from five to 85 and those who had previously warned me that they wouldn’t be able to dance because of knee problems! Phil is a fantastic dance caller who makes ceilidh dancing easy and a pleasure even for those who have never done it before. We all really appreciated his clear instructions about each dance. This, together with Black Velvet’s expert musicianship made the ceilidh very enjoyable and huge fun. I can’t wait to do it again! Thanks so much."
