"I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Mark for playing the organ so wonderfully at our wedding this weekend (9th Jan 2016). From the moment I first spoke with Mark, I knew we were in good hands. We contact Mark fairly last minute and finalised the music for the wedding only a week before the day but there was never a moment when I felt panicked as Mark always put us at ease about the whole process. I would definitely recommend Mark for any event that requires musical talent! "

Cara, thank you so much for a lovely review. I was very pleased with the music too, and the Haupwerk computer organ in church was a joy to play - it was like playing a cathedral organ! I wish you both all the luck in the world for the future.

"Sebastian is a first rate musician of the highest calibre. He has played the organ for several of my choirs for which he has been outstanding, reliable, organised, easy to work with, prompt, communicative and always fully prepared. Sebastian has a professional consort of singers who are excellent and can be booked for church and corporate events. I would not hesitate to recommend his consort of singers, who can be booked through him, to anyone looking for a top notch choral group who are flexible with repertoire and extremely able to sing all genres to the highest standard. Sebastian has a deep knowledge of appropriate repertoire for a variety of church services and is always on hand to advise when needed. I fully commend Sebastian to anyone looking for a professional, highly skilled and reliable church musician who is equally at home conducting a choir or playing the organ for any church or corporate event."

"With a month or so to go before our wedding (July 2015) we found ourselves without an organist. Not knowing quite what to do next, we turned to Google and found Lastminutemusicians.com. Choosing an organist from the site was such a daunting prospect given how important the organist's role was to be and not knowing if the person we would end up choosing would be any good! After a number of replies from other performers we chose Mark and we couldn't have been in better hands. Mark is a true professional and a talented performer. He is eager to please, vastly experienced and could adapt most songs/pieces of music for the organ. A week or so before our wedding, and in his own time, he visited our chapel and familiarised himself with the organ he would be playing. We also spoke frequently on the phone to discuss our thoughts regarding what we wanted to be performed and he also provided helpful suggestions and ideas without 'taking over'. On the day itself he was prompt, well presented and played beautifully. Thank you again Mark for your contribution to our special day, I really can't recommend you enough...in fact two of the guests at our wedding used Mark as the organist at their wedding having been impressed, I'm sure, at what they heard!"

Mark and Di - the pleasure was all mine! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to play the Binns Organ in Queens College, Cambridge - it was a treat for me too as an organist. I'm pleased that you were happy with my performance on such a hot day, the organ took time to set up for the wedding, but it was worth it. And, I got to do it all again in August for your friends wedding in the same chapel!

"We were delighted to find GARETH at very short notice (48 hours!) when our regular organist fell ill. We were so lucky for he replied positively to our request within 10 minutes confirming he could be available. He liaised with the family and they and we recognise the utter professionality of this man. Together hymns, prelude, a pause for thought musical interlude of Francke's "Panis Angelicus" which wa divinely played. The hymns were so sensitively and appropriately paced to keep them going (so very important in 'Abide with me' !!!! - -and indeed all the hymns) and lead the mourners and their family and friends. I HAVE NEVER HEARD SUCH CONFIDENT SINGING totally inspired by this amazing ORGANIST. Gareth concluded the service with a stirring, highly emotionally played "NIMROD" - the WHOLE gathered congregation listened attentively and did not budge until its dramatic conclusion - again, I have NEVER witnessed this at a Funeral and GARETH GILES managed to make our modest Organ sound like a full orchestra with his expressive and deeply sensitive playing. GARETH - thank you so much. You are a lovely man and a complete professional as well as truly the most FABULOUS organist we have ever heard - and I speak for the whole church community as well as passing on sincere thanks from Diane and the whole family who were so grateful and incredibly moved by your uplifting and glorious playing. Gareth you are a complete star We hope to see you again here STUNNING ORGANIST - we so very highly reccomend booking him for any occasion that asks for an experienced, wonderful ORGANIST In true sincerity from ALL of us Beth"

"Mark, thank you for playing the piano so brilliantly at our Wedding Party last Thursday evening. Your music set the perfect atmosphere at the Belvedere, thank you for learning our requests quickly which were played with ease, and you even accompanied our guest West End singer without a run through and no sheet music! Many of our guests commented on your flawless performance and variety of music, Elton John, David Bowie and even Bollywood themes, amazing! "Mark played at our wedding reception at the Belvedere Restaurant in Holland Park on Saturday 21st June. He provided the guests with a great repertoire of music, played at the right speed and sound. A perfect accompaniment to the evening. Not only did he play a list of songs that we requested but also intermingled these with other complimentary tunes. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for a wedding musician."

"While planning a vintage tea party for Mum’s 90th birthday party, I needed an accompanist and piano player for my wartime and 40’s style sing along, which I planned to lead. My search found me the super talented and very accurate perfectionist Mark Burton at lastminutemusicians.com. When I made telephone contact and explained what I was planning, he totally understood and was very helpful making suggestions for songs to be played, arrangements and keys. We then had lots of communication over email, he was prompt to answer any questions and bent over backwards to help. On the day of the performance he greeted me with a smile and did his best to quell my nerves, during his solo spot, he played with distinction lots of old favourite tunes as background music. He played the piano in the venue for around 45 minutes solo then took a break and came back on his own keyboard with myself on vocals for a further hour set as accompaniment to my singing and the family sing along to tunes such as “putting on the Ritz” and a wartime medley from “pack up your troubles” through lots of other wonderful tunes ending on “land of hope and glory”. The result was that my Mother and indeed all of the family were thrilled to bits. They have been raving about it so much. It has given us outstanding and lasting memory of the perfect birthday with perfect entertainment supplied by Mark. Thank you so very much Mark you are an outstanding musician and I will recommend you to anyone in need."

"Booked with just a week to go before the event Mark was the consummate professional! From phoning me to chat and get a better feel for the event and the demographic of the guests to arriving early to set up and playing a wide variety of music in a responsive and sensitive way - everything was perfect. "Mark, thank you for playing the music for the Pride of Houghton Awards, which took place on the 7th October 2015. The evening was very successful and I am pleased to confirm that the guests at the event included the Vice Chairman of Central Bedfordshire Council, the speaker from Bedford Borough Council, The Mayor of Sandy and the Deputy Mayor from Flitwick, as well as members of the local community, the winners, and their guests. "I haven't heard the special opportunity to hear him play in person, I live in the States... but listening to him on Facebook and on YouTube has be an uplifting and cherished event in and of itself. I would recommend him for any event, with he'd travel across the pond.. it would be such an experience.
