"Dear Alter Ego, Sorry this has been some time coming but just wanted to thank you for such a fantastic performance to celebrate my 50th Birthday. I have received many comments for the wonderful evening that was had by everyone and just wanted to pass on my thanks on to you all. I felt the whole evening was a very enjoyable and successful one and I managed to raise over £1500 for St Catherines Hospice which they were very pleased to receive. "Thursday night was a blast. Couldn’t have gone any better! On Thursday the 25th of January, the Exeter Caledonian Society hosted a Burns Night Ball accompanied by the Black Velvet Band. The band was brilliant. Their musical prowess, stamina and all round musicianship was a joy to work with - and to listen to - making the night ever better. I am so thankful for what they did. The band is easy to work with, knowledgeable about timings and can cater to any requirements. "

"Coming all the way from London I did not think John would travel this far but he offered without hesitation. Arrived dead on time and ensured my wedding went with a bang. He kept me regularly updated throughout the build-up of what is a very stressful event and never once did I feel his performance was in doubt. "

"I found Mike very helpful when arranging the requirements for the party. The music was of a good standard and the caller was very good at getting people involved in the dancing. I would happily recommend the band to others."
