Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"My first experience of a live steel band was listening to “Caribbean Heatwave” on board P & O cruise ship Ventura. And what an experience!! Heatwave gave passengers a wonderful Caribbean musical introduction, playing lots of popular reggae and traditional songs, but coupled with well-known ballads and even some wonderful jazz numbers which went down a treat when we were in New Orleans. The leader of the group was amazing to watch (he plays with four sticks) and showed his huge personality, skill and talent as he produced fantastic sounds from two pans. Great to watch a consummate performer in action. I wish him well, and his band."

"Very many thanks to FOB. You were awesome! At the Reel club ceilidh last Monday, there was a great band, and enthusiastic dancers, but very few of them, which seemed a poor omen. However, I needn't have worried – what a contrast last night! More than double the numbers, a complete sell out! A great start to the year, with lots of freshers having a fantastic time, dancing to your music. Many thanks from me and the Round."

"We were so impressed with Eccentric Pony, we didn't stop dancing all night! Amazing covers with their own style, we couldn't have made a better choice when booking them. They created such a great atmosphere, and knew how to keep us all moving! They have a massive catalogue to choose from we were able to find a bit of something for everyone to enjoy. "We had a fabulous evening being entertained by Gypsy Cabaret Collective, a group which my gorgeous cousin is part of. Fraser showed his comedic side and Piper showed a bit of love for the poi. Piper also loved taking part in the proceedings. The boys listened to their CD all the way home and even asked for it to be turned up and asked when can we see them again."

"I asked Back2Skool Duo to come & play at my 50th Birthday party. They were amazing, I wasn't really sure what to expect, but this band delivered. Plenty of old Skool classics got people on the dance floor. Lots of communication prior to the party to ask my requirements, but to be honest I was happy to let the band do their thing, and they really did their thing! Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a band that really knows how to work the room and get people moving. Thanks for adding that extra special touch to my party."

"Debbie was fantastic from the word go, very professional and friendly, asking all about our plans and songs we liked or disliked and our favourite music types and eras. Debbie and Fernando arrived in great form and right from the first song they had our guests tapping their feet and dancing. Their lighting and sound was really professional. We had a fantastic evening and all our guests said they had a fabulous night and how much they loved the music. We would highly recommend Debbie and Fernando and we would definitely book them again. "A fantastic band indeed who have worked hard and over many years to achieve the level of technical sophistication which deserves their international reputation and many awards! Guaranteed to get people doing the rock steady on the dance floor! They are amazing to watch at St. Paul’s Carnival in Bristol and also where they practice in Bath – even their rehearsals are wonderful occasions where you can witness true professionals hard at work and loving every minute of it!"
