"Rastrum played for our Burns Night at the University of York last week and it was one of the most successful student events we've had in months! It was the perfect setting for students to relax and have fun with old and new friends. The atmosphere was just buzzing and we've already had requests from students asking to do this again. The band were flexible with our venue change and were generous with the dances. The caller was very clear and warm which made the evening incredibly inclusive, especially as over 100 of our students had no idea what a ceilidh was at the start of the evening! So by popular demand I think we'll be getting a ceilidh booked in again very soon. And last but not least, the band play together perfectly and the tunes they chose were brilliant. "

"We were absolutely delighted with Astri Strings (Victoria & Jude), who played at our wedding. From the very start, communication with them was so easy and stress-free — they were professional, warm, and accommodating to every request. Their repertoire is incredible, covering everything from classical and jazz through to modern-day hits. One particularly special touch was when they learnt and performed the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to, even though it wasn’t on their list. That meant the world to me, and it was played so beautifully. They performed seamlessly as our guests arrived, throughout the ceremony, and into the drinks reception, creating a lovely atmosphere from start to finish. So many of our family and friends commented on how stunning the music was, and we couldn’t agree more! We would 100% recommend Astri Strings to anyone planning a wedding or any other celebration. "Incredible, absolutely incredible! Alex and John orchestrated our wedding reception with a variety of live music, DJ sets along with supporting us to ensure the days events were timely. The father of the bride was overwhelmed when they were able to play a live rendition of one of his favourite david gray songs, it made his night. Lazy marmalade are very professional, efficient and fun guys. Thank you sincerely Morgan and Hayley "

"What an excellent group of experienced players. Tight, well crafted covers of a wide range of songs from 60’s right through to the present day. I would thoroughly recommend Back to Back for any event where you need a flexible quality music offering with a good bit of banter for the crowd. Hope to see them again some time "
