"Das Brass were one of the highlights of the wedding- all the guests could not stop talking about them on the day and after. They walked us and the wedding party through the park and everyone else in the public was loving it too. The guys were brilliant and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for something a bit different that everyone will love. "

"Wow! Rich and the band were incredible! These guys played at my dads 60th on Saturday 16th August 2025 and absolutely blew us away with their talent. They were all incredibly talented and a great bunch to chat to as well; they fully embraced our event and helped to make it that little bit more special. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a band for a big celebration. "

All the guests raved about the evening; the set list and performance were even better than we could have hoped for. The band is hugely talented and we're surprised you don't demand twice as much money for your performances! Throughout the first few discussions and meetings with you, we felt completely confident in your ability to making the event a success and your passion for what you do was abundently clear. "We are so grateful to Black Velvet Ceilidh Band for their last minute flexibility in playing for our wedding! We moved the wedding forward by a month to beat the lockdown and the band not only made themselves available on the new date, but also changed the style of music with just 3 days notice! Firstly their contactability and organisation was brilliant, making the booking and discussions with them hassle-free. Ceilidh would no longer have been appropriate, so the guys played a mix of Irish songs and jigs and reels. The music they provided was fantastic, creating the most beautiful atmosphere for the milling around and photo time between ceremony and reception. They were inconspicuous but added so much. Would definitely recommend them (and their versatility!) for any event.’"
