Review Centre: Acoustic Bands

"Royal String Ensemble played at our wedding ceremony at Gaynes Park, in Epping Forest on the 3rd of January 2017. The group were absolutely fantastic, many of my guests came up to me in the reception to comment and how good they were. The band were highly professional and very attentive to my ideas, they were happy to mix their conventional classical music pieces with some modern pop songs I had selected. The band met with me prior to my wedding day for an initial consultation to discuss what I'd like on the day, the format, theme of the wedding etc., they then provided me with some ideas of music that they had played at other weddings and were always extremely responsive to my emails. In particular the band really stood out and went the extra mile by kindly agreeing accompany my brother and sister (both amateur guitar and drum players) in playing a song at our wedding. This involved them re-writing the sheet music in the correct key, meeting with my brother and sister one evening to rehearse the song, and then arriving at the ceremony earlier than usual to rehearse with my brother/sister before the start of the ceremony. They are a fantastic group and I am sure they will have a hugely successful future ahead of them, they certainly made my wedding ceremony very special and unique, as one of my guests said when describing their music "they are certainly one to remember.""

"Moon River were amazing for my baby’s birthday yesterday and it was something so different. They played jazz, theatre and pop music of my choosing from their repertoire and then lots of nursery rhymes. All ages were catered for; their communication was great and they turned up early to set up. Highly recommend."

"This is going to be a stunningly good review. I booked De Fuego fairly last minute to play at our event. The booking was easy. Edina was extremely user friendly when it came to accommodating the particular arrangements we needed to make our evening work and communication before the event was quick and easy. It's a bit difficult to get to our club because it's a ship mooed along the foreshore at Leigh on Sea. This was no problem to them. Punctual. Then they started playing. Mesmeric ! The sort of talent that bring a tear to your eye. If you're thinking of hiring a guitar duo these are the people. In fact even if you're not thinking of hiring a guitar duo do it anyway. Get them in your living room if all else fails. You won't be disappointed."

"Live music makes a good party into a fabulous party and this was no exception. It was awesome. Harriet and Benn arrived early to set up their equipment and get everything organised, making sure we were happy with the volume. They are phenomenally talented and the song choice was just class. We danced all afternoon and had a great time singing along. They played don’t stop believin by Journey which they had practised especially for the birthday boy. Will definitely book them again and will highly recommended them. And best of all, they are such lovely people and clearly enjoy what they do. A stunning choice for any event. "

"Elliot arrived promptly and played for one hour at our drinks reception. We gave him a list of all our favourite songs and tunes, which he played with great style, fluently moving from one melody to the next. He was also willing to accompany a hesitant singer, and then all of our party sang a song for a grand finale! We raised the roof! His willingness to accede to all our requests made it a great addition to our enjoyment of the evening! I know Elliot is also a versatile jazz artist. If the occasion came round again we would be more than happy to engage Elliot."

"Thank you so much to Kelly’s Heroes for performing at our wedding evening reception. They were friendly and helpful from the beginning of the booking process right through to after the wedding. All our guests loved them, they provided a great lively atmosphere, and encouraged everyone to get involved. We had guests who go to ceilidhs regularly, and some who had never been to one before. The ceilidh was suitable for everyone, and everyone said how much fun they had. One of the band members taught us the moves to a first dance ceilidh, which we then demonstrated so that everyone could get involved. It was a slower dance and an ideal start with to get everyone involved and comfortable with the dancing. We went for the six person band with two song sets and a ceilidh, and this was ideal for an evening do. Kelly’s Heroes played a great range of tunes which everyone enjoyed tapping along to even if they weren’t ready for a dance yet! We really hope to see them play again in the near future, and we definitely recommend them for events. "

"Elliott arrived in plenty of time to set up. He was so charming and friendly and willing to help with putting up the awning etc. Elliott played beautifully as friends and family arrived and adapted to the mood of the event. He was lovely with the guests and a real pleasure to have as part of our celebration. "
