"Really simple booking process and Gemma is really responsive, asking/answering questions really quick and easy! Our saxophonist, Raf, was just a joy to work with. He played a 1.5hr set at our wedding and was great at just free-styling to any song that came on by the DJ! Everyone stayed on the dance floor because of Raf, young and old, which is exactly what we wanted."

"We've booked the swing zippers for two high profile events in the last year: Their first appearance took place at our annual goose fair dinner and awards ceremony where they performed a 30 minute set in the break coffee break. It was supposed to be an opportunity for our guests to mingle but everybody stayed in their seats as these two fabulous musicians blew them away with some pulsating gypsy jazz. The second and most recent appearance was part of our 30th anniversary celebrations with German city Karlshruhe. The duo played for 1 hour whilst our guests interacted during the dinner break. Their sound, style, talent and superb range of acoustic instrumentals was simply perfect for the occasion! "

"Last night at Whighams we had a world music night which was one of the best nights we have ever had. First up Bossa Nova & MPB. For the last few months I have been lucky enough to work with Sergio and Kevin in this trio playing Brazilian music. We met at a jam session organised by Ash Gupta and are playing regularly. For me it is a welcome change and an opportunity to play a different style. Next up we had a fantastic band from Latvia playing a highly melodic jazz funk set which went down really well and was appreciated by the audience. Finally the evening was closed off with a fantastic flamenco set which was just terrific, I knew what Danielo Olivera and his group would do and was sure the Whighams crew would love it and they did! An excellent and very memorable night that I was delighted to be involved with and a highlight of the music program that Kevin and Graeme Knox put together. "

"Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one."

"We absolutely loved having you guys there and you definitely got the atmosphere right. We had a lot of comments that people loved the music during the day so a big thank you for that! Also, our guests LOVED having a band for the ceremony (rather than the traditional harpist or flute players). Our only regret is that we hadn’t booked you guys for longer or for the evening too! But we’ll definitely recommend you to friends and if we can think of a way to hire you again we definitely will! Thanks again ever so much!"

"I booked Magenta Strings for my daughters wedding, they were absolutely amazing. Thoroughly professional and their repertoire is wonderful. Having a string quartet made the day so perfect, and the guests commented on how beautifully they played. I cannot recommend them highly enough."

"We booked Melisma Jazz at quite short notice for a garden party to celebrate our 5th Anniversary as a business. Sarah-Jane Morris was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was flexible in piecing together a quartet that suited our needs, and the atmosphere created by Sarah-Jane and her fellow musicians on the day was superb. Thank you so much Sarah-Jane for all that you did to make our event a special one for us, and we hope to have the pleasure of working with you again at some stage."

"Duncan played background music at our house warming party of around 75 people. His playing created a brilliant ambience meaning everyone felt comfortable and relaxed straight away. Duncan is clearly an established and talented musician with a lovely, friendly demeanor. Friends have already asked for his number and we would certainly recommend Duncan very highly."

"James performed at our wedding during our wedding breakfast. We were so pleased with his performance and his choice of songs were just what we wanted. So many of our guests said how amazing he was and asked for his details. I had a few telephone conversations with James to chat over what we wanted and he gave us some ideas about what he could perform for us. All all in all a fantastic performer and very professional to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend him."

"Alice sung at our wedding, both in the ceremony and at the evening reception - she even learnt our first dance song specially! She is not only an incredible vocalist but very helpful and professional to deal with in the planning stages. I would highly recommend her - our guests haven't stopped raving about her fabulous voice and she really did help to make our wedding day the best day of our lives!"
