Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"Each year our section hold a rally. Each year we visit a different location alternating between the UK and Europe. It was my turn to organise a weeks rally in the UK, and I chose the Two Bridges Hotel near Princetown as our base. We needed some form of entertainment for our Gala Night. Our group are in the in main middle fifties and some over eighty so the last thing we need was a rock group. I had some opposition when I suggested a Folk group but I prevailed and have to say that tracking down a band was in the area was extremely difficult. Typing a search in Google for local folk groups resulted in names almost everywhere except in the West Country. Eventually I contacted Blue Jewel and Steve convinced me that they could adapt to our needs. Every single person enjoyed the groups performance, there were 62 people there and almost every single one said how much they enjoyed the group. As the organiser I was greatly impressed by the way they accommodated our requirements and we had a brilliant night. Thank you Blue Jewel Chris. "During the planning stages of my birthday party, Rosie & The Rockets were keen to discuss arrangements and specific song choices, so that the evening was a success for all my guests. Their flexible, reassuring approach left me feeling confident beforehand. On the night, they played all my song choices as well as a great mix of other songs which led to a packed dance floor throughout both sets. Many guests commented on their skill and professionalism. During the party, they also helped to organise proceedings. It was a brilliant night and we all enjoyed it. I would highly recommend Rosie & The Rockets to anyone planning an event. "

"The covered played at our Ladies Night last weekend, they were absolutely fantastic, we had the 6 piece set up and each and every member of the band was amazing. They played all of the dance floor classics we could have asked for and when we asked for something not in their planned line up they added it on and played it flawlessly. We can’t recommend them highly enough. All of our guests commented on the great band choice and after looking over so many options we were so pleased to have made the right choice. Sarah the lead singer was amazing, she joined us on the dance floor and sang her heart out at the same time. What a voice! We can’t thank you guys enough, you had the dance floor full from start to finish, even having to compete with the mock casino you managed to keep the dance floor full! Thank you again, we’d definitely rehire for another event!"

"The caribbean steel band played at our wedding on 6th October. We were only expecting a solo performance but were delighted when a duo played. Throughout their performance they went that extra mile. "Tracy was great - from start to the day itself the communication was fab. On the night they played a selection of their own catalogue and also some special ones for me . The party was Disney themed so they learnt some Disney tunes specially. Thanks."

"We had an absolutely rocking time! The band had really great energy and didn't seem to miss even a note the whole evening. They played all the songs we asked for and even did a few extras to keep all our friends and family out on the dance floor and hopping. We would not hesitate to recommend the band to anyone for a function or to book them again if we had the chance. "

"Shakers Gold performed at our wedding in July, they were absolutely amazing and very accommodating... we asked them to perform our first dance - All I want for Christmas! It wasn’t something they usually sang but they rehearsed leading up to the wedding and got into the spirit by dressing in Christmassy outfits which was a surprise, even for us thank you guys for making our first dance so memorable for us and our guests."
