Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"I was so excited when I found Absolute band's website and saw their repertoire and videos of them playing, it was exactly the vibe we were looking for. We booked them originally for June 2020, then moved to April 2021, then again moved to July 2021! Geoff was so kind and understanding and flexible throughout, navigating wedding season in a pandemic and making sure that we could have the numbers of guests we wanted there. They played on 3rd July 2021 and the dancefloor was absolutely banging! Because of covid we had to have an outside dancefloor - they were so flexible and played at the edge of the marquee facing out, whilst we all danced on a patio under a gazebo. It was truly magic. Our guests are a huge mix of ages and the dancefloor was rammed the entire time they were playing. We were running late and they were so flexible by doing an extra long set for us before the music had to turn off. They played all our favourite songs, and played a couple of requests that weren't on their repertoire. I cannot recommend them enough, they are really well priced for the standard of their performance, and I would book them again in an instant! "Having The Misfit Makers at our Christmas party in Bolton was the best decision we made! From their polished sound to their lively stage presence, everything was spot on. They had a knack for reading the room, transitioning from indie rock classics to pop hits that got even the shyest guests up and dancing. Their interaction with the crowd, including singalongs, made the night even more fun. Everyone left buzzing about how great the music was!"

"We first saw Sarah and Jaya during an open event and they were so talented and had such a lovely energy, they really stuck with us! We booked them for our ceremony and drinks reception and they were so wonderful during the whole process. We had a detailed meeting in advance and communication was excellent from start to finish. On the day they sounded amazing and made the whole day so special, we really appreciated all the extra work they put into planning their spot at the venue given they hadn't played there before. Our guests enjoyed picking out the songs they recognised during their set! They were a joy to work with and would highly recommend them to anyone."

"A massive thank you to you and the guys for such a wonderful evening at our wedding in France! You made the evening a night to remember for everyone and all of our guests were raving about you. Even our French neighbours, who had come up for a glass of wine and a 'mosey about', were highly entertained. We greatly appreciate the distance you travelled and the long night you had on Saturday but the wedding wouldn't have been the same without you. Having every dance danced to by guests, many of who had never ceilidhed before was better than we expected, especially with the heat! You were a pleasure to deal with in the months before and on the day, nothing seemed like it was too much trouble. We would be happy to recommend you to anyone considering a ceilidh band as you were without doubt the best, most entertaining and fun band we have come across."

"Standing in as last minute replacements to fill an unplanned gap, David and Allan did a superb job covering the session. With minimal preparation the tuneful singer/keyboard duo delivered a medley of elegant classics from the world of pop, soul, folk and gospel. Engagement and connection with their audience brought a real sense of warmth and intimacy to the event. All in all a simple set, expertly delivered with lots of popular songs to hum, tap and dance along to. Very much enjoyed."

As a former USAF jazz guitarist, and musician with several top-40 bands over the years, the musicianship of the band is first rate. Every musician in the band is EXCELLENT and deserve the highest praise. Thank you all for making our cruise one of the best ever! Dave & Princie Kay"

"We had a great night with Uptown Groove on Saturday night. The band turned up at the time when they said they would, did their checks and were ready to go when we were. They were flexible to work their set times around the football match that was finishing (England) and that was really appreciated - everyone was happy! The music they played was very varied and from the start it got people up dancing. A great evening was had by all. "
