Review Centre: 1970s & 80s Style Bands

"Saturday went really well. The band were great and the client was delighted – both with the sets the band played and the backing for when Laurie sang! The additional half an hour playing was also really appreciated. Also, during the planning stage, the time that was spent re-assuring and working with Laurie ready for her solo was great. From our point of view it was lovely to work with such a nice band, very easy going and flexible when timings and plans changed on site. The music was brilliant, the vocalists were amazing too. All in all a resounding success – so thank you very much. Hopefully we will be working with you all again soon."

"This was amazing mere words cannot describe the feeling I had when they first came out onto the stage it was magical. He is the best tribute to MJ that I have ever seen and I have seen a few. This man is completely professional and at the same time made us all feel as if we knew him. A TOP CLASS ACT and the dancers were incredible . He certainly has that aura about him that Michael had when he was in concert here many many years ago. Some of my guests knew I had booked a tribute to Michael but not all and they were both amazed and thrilled. He came out into the audience and just seemed relaxed and his voice is also incredible. I*f ever he comes to town toa venue near me that any one can go to myself and my family would willingly pay to go see him again he was that great."

"The band played at our wedding a couple of weeks ago and were fantastic! So many of our guests commented on how good they were and it was such a brilliant feeling to stand back from the dance floor and see it full with everyone having an amazing time! The guys were lovely and Lindsay was a massive help in the run up. Massive thank you for contributing to the happy memories we have from the day!"

"Sorry I didn't get a chance to email you yesterday to say thank you so much to you and your excellent band for providing us with such great entertainment on Saturday night. I had a lot of positive feedback yesterday from everyone who went to the party! We only have our Christmas party every other year but I won't hesitate to contact you again to book you for any other social functions we have. "We booked Party Gangsters for a 70th Birthday and they went down an absolute treat. A well thought through range of 60s,70s,80s and 90s music really well delivered with great sounds and harmonies. They were so well received that the wedding in the other function room gate-crashed our dance floor. I will book them again without hesitation.  "

"Liz played with her guitarist for our drinks reception at Northorpe Hall. What a lovely atmosphere it set for everyone there. The songs were perfect and the sound in the barn was great. Liz really did go out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for us and we would have happily paid more than we did looking back. We had seen the full band and wanted to book them for the evening reception but they we're not available, gutted! Reviews go a long way these days and Liz deserves nothing but a glowing one as I could not fault anything at all. Such nice people to have as a part of the day. Highly recommended thank you to The Marvellous Motown Souls!"

"Urban Knights not only had the dance floor packed all night, but the whole area around the dance floor too! Rya has an unbelievable voice - it feels wrong to describe them as a wedding band because they are just an incredibly talented group of musicians who happen to be able to sing brilliant covers. Their manager was also an absolute delight to deal with throughout, and the band took the 1.5 hour delay in starting as a result of dinner overrunning in their stride. Thank you for making our wedding day so special, and for giving us so many wonderful memories. "
