"The music was fantastic. We danced the whole time and Catherine was in touch with us beforehand to check our music needs. It was great...what energy and fantastic voices they both had. Everyone loved them and I would recommend you all to others. Thank you so much for your efficient service...it took the stress out of sorting the music out...just initial research and we found what we wanted. Fantastic...thanks to you all. "The band were absolutely amazing, we could not have hoped for them to be as good as they were! The first dance song was perfect and they even learned one of our favorite songs for our 'second dance'. Everyone was great, but the lead singers were especially brilliant, their voices were stunning. Highly recommended."

"I asked Mads to surprise my groom and guests after our first dance and it was definitely a memory I'll cherish forever. No one suspected anything and Mads did a great job hiding from everyone. If you're thinking of booking Mads, do it! She is super organised in the lead up to the event and is great fun to have on the dance-floor! "

"I first met Joe when I auditioned him when I was a tutor at ACM. Right away he showed, not only in his playing but his attitude, of someone who was passionate and dedicated to their craft. When Joe and I reconnected a couple of years later as a graduate all that hard work came to fruition when I heard him play. He continues to grow as a player every day, and as his friend and teacher, I couldn’t be prouder."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Judy and Jenny’s 80th Birthday Party – February 2026 We found Black Velvet friendly, professional and very talented musicians. Communication ahead of time was prompt and helpful, and on the day they arrived on time and set up discreetly. The music was enjoyed by everyone, a room full of smiles and laughter. Just what we wanted. Thank you for making our 80th birthday celebration so memorable. Would heartily recommend."

"A fantastic live band who had the dance floor packed all through their performance. Great songs and an excellent sound. Simply put, were exactly what we envisioned and were even able to play our first dance song. It was incredible!"

"James,you made our wedding such a brilliant and happy occasion with your talent. James played five ballads at the end of our wedding meal, one we all sang along too(flash mob style). Great. James created a wonderful,fun,easy chilled out atmosphere. People listened, smiled, or sang along. Later James played a second set which everybody loved. Guests said they could have listened for hours. James has a fabulous voice, and his guitar playing was excellent too. We would not hesitate to recommend James.
