"We had the best day ever for our wedding party and Mitch played a big part in that. He read the room, got the vibe right and had everyone dancing all night. The percussion sets made everything feel a bit more bout and special. And he was flexible when we made a couple of questionable music requests too :D Definitely recommended for parties and weddings. "

"Our party took place on a horrendous cold windy and rainy day; but, you wouldn't have guessed it! Steelosophical (duo with DJ services) bought the Carribean weather to the party and was all the guests talked about even 2 weeks after the party. The band were professional, and surprised me with their range of songs ( there was something for all ages and cultures) and their talent with one of the members taking a turn on the mic. They arrived early to set up so the guests were played to on arrival. The hotel in fact were late with the reception drinks which didn't matter as everyone was so transfixed with the band. Gary is a pleasure to deal with and happily used his experience of events to judge the mood of the event and play music accordingly. My mother always has to complain about something and she was full of praise for the band and the party as a result of the band. Result!! I would rate them 11/10 and would highly recommend them."

"The Upbeats Duo were amazing and made my Party Complete from start to finish they kept in contact and there music choices along with mine were brilliant and even did a DJ set can not recommend them highly enough in fact we paid a bit more for them to stay longer Book Book Book"

"You have no reason to believe me or trust me..for I am just a name. But if you do not book these guys you are missing out.. the passion..the fun..the atmosphere these all had was unlike I could have dreamed of....every song belted out as though in front of thousands.. every melody hit with precision...I cannot tell you how much everyone...and I mean everyone at my wedding talked and raved about the music, style professionalism but most of all the quality of their set. They joined us for dinner, endured our speeches then performed to the very highest standard and blew our socks off.. so...thank you for an amazing night to Paulo Jeremey Chris .eaun . And not forgetting rhona too. Thank you for everything. Thank you for being a part of everything. Thank you for making our night so so special. Amazing. Simply amazing. Good luck with everything. "

A number of guest commented throughout the evening that they had had an amazing time and that they especially liked the fusion of East meets West that your band helped make happen. "I absolutely loved this pair. I recently planned a wedding in Duns, Scotland and Sally & Graham drove over an hour to play about 3 hours at my event. Everything went completely perfectly, from our communication beforehand, the song list, them adding songs I requested, the location and sound quality for their sets, and setup/tear down. I wanted a relaxed, acoustic sound with talented musicians definitely not a DJ party wedding band, so this duo was perfect for that. This website and this band are excellent value for the range and, again, quality of the music, 100% worth the price and more. Before the event, I gave them some some requests including Africa by Toto, which they REWROTE and learned in their own style (HUGE HIT and really surprised my husband). Also we coordinated a place for them to setup, the times of the sets, and what meals they wanted to have, and everything went off without a hitch. They were also so very sweet and wonderful people that they really impressed all my guests who were complimentary and wondering where I found such an amazing band. One of the best things about the Scotswood Acoustic Duo is how their song list covers a huge variety of music that they somehow play all equally wonderfully. So everyone's music tastes were satisfied and it made for very interesting listening, this was one of the compliments I heard alot. There are just so many nice things to say, please book this band and get them doing music full time because they are AMAZING!"

"A great day, made even better by the efforts and skills of It's No' Reel. We all loved the jigs, reels and much needed help to get the dances right. Tom and the band went that extra yard to help with the first dance and farewell dance. Much appreciated and highly recommended."
