Review Centre: Covers Bands

"Big Smoke Brass caught my eye from a cover they don’t even have up anymore and they lived up to literally everything I wanted. Our dinner overran by two hours and true to professionalism they played as long as our venue would allow, launching in as soon as they could - literally every single guest I’ve spoken to since my wedding complimented me on my brilliant choice of band. They even sent us an arrangement of our first dance ahead of time so we could practise to it, and they worked really hard to make our event completely perfect, even tailoring a parade style entrance on the fly! I could not compliment them more. I wish I could get married again so that I can hire them again, but I guess I’ll just have to think grander with my celebrations from here on out to get them back!"

"I can highly recommend Danny McCabe. He played at my 50th party on Saturday and was amazing! Danny has an extensive repertoire to choose from and is an amazing musician/singer. His partner added an extra dimension with his cajon / tambourine / backing vocals. We danced all night and he really made my birthday a night to remember."

"The Medley Doctors were absolutely incredible. The dance floor at our wedding was FILLED and we had so many compliments from guests about their sets. They aren't just a band playing a Spotify list, they are truly musicians and have created fun medleys to keep the party going. We loved their mix of genres and this was really a selling point in booking them. They also weren't just playing music, it was definitely a performance. The Medley Doctors were also really helpful in the lead up to the wedding with logistics! We didn't feel like we had to really do anything beyond the initial call which was great. I'm not sure many 2 people bands could fill a dance floor like The Medley Doctors did. I'd book them again in a heartbeat."

"The Microtunes were perfect for our event. Prior to it they communicated very well and were lovely to work with. They created a lovely atmosphere and everyone at the ball really enjoyed their music. Great musicians, great duo, cannot fault in any way! Highly recommend! "

"A huge thank-you for a wonderful night's music at my 60th birthday party. Such an amazing customised personalised set, which not only set the perfect atmosphere for the night, but got all generations up on the dance floor. It was amazing to see a rock & roll band turn into a trad Jazz band by bringing in friends on other instruments. The in-house arrangements were just phenomenal. To hear Floyd's 'Wish You were here' accompanied by banjo was so unexpected but worked perfectly! The standard four piece party numbers were, as always, absolutely brilliant. This night was very special and will never be forgotten"

But what’s more, you are lovely people who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. "I booked Station 2 Station for my wife's surprise birthday party in Cardiff. She loves good live music and they were excellent. They were easy to deal with, quick at responding and listened to what I wanted. On the night they were great. The music was at a good volume for the room size, not too loud as many bands seem to do. The singing and playing sounded great and they interacted with the audience and mixed up popular songs in a fun way that got lots of people up dancing. It was a fairly small party of around 40 people and they really made the atmosphere. Nice guys, great music, good option."

"Fraser And The Cheers played at our wedding reception in August 2013. They were absolutely amazing and really got the party going! There was a huge range of songs they could play, everything from Steve wonder to Jessie J, so we had lots to choose from. On the night they were all very professional and relaxed, and the guests loved them. The music was perfect and we wouldn't hesitate to have them again! We highly recommend them! "
