"Gordon has a superb gritty, bluesy, soul voice that really hits the spot when he lets rip…….. his arrangements really good and he has great vocals. I particularly like it when he opens up those chords and gives out with that really gravelly, soulful voice."

"The Velvet Tones play at our restaurant regularly. The reviews we’ve had on Google about their performances have been amazing and ticket sales for our music nights are always a sell-out! We go for the trio because we don’t have space for drums and it’s perfect because we can keep the sound to a better level so people can enjoy the music without having to shout over it to speak at dinner. Great band!"

"Dear Anne, Just wanted to say thank you for the music at our Golden wedding/birthday party on board the Sabrina on 10th July. Your choice of music was very good with something for everybody. I’m sorry you had to play in such cramped conditions, but it was lovely to have you there - really lifted the spirits. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and thankfully the weather was kind to us and didn’t rain until it was time to go home. thanks once again, We did enjoy it, and courtesy of the recording made by my youngest grandson, can listen again to your lovely playing of Elgar's "salut d'amour' any time we like - the sound is good on the recording, though the picture leaves something to be desired. "Hope String Quartet played at my wedding ceremony and were absolutely fantastic. They were more than happy to learn a few of my favourite songs that weren’t on their playlist and their communication before the event was always helpful, friendly and professional. On the day, they surpassed our expectations – I’ve had so many guests comment on how beautifully they played and one of my favourite moments of my whole wedding is walking down the aisle whilst they played ‘Halo’ by Beyonce. Now I just need another big event so I have an excuse to book them again! Highly, highly recommended"

"We booked Absolute Company for a special event we were hosting at a cinema- they were superb. Despite giving them a lot of information at the last minute, they were flexible and forthcoming and really had our audience dancing and cheering. I'd highly recommend them to anyone!"

"The trio put on a lovely show, really setting the mood for the rest of the day. They were really easy to work with, set everything up and took everything down on time. No drama, no fuss, and delivered just what we wanted. They even learnt a song for my bride to walk down the Aisle and gave it an amazing Latin twist. They sent us a copy of it beforehand to make sure it was all ok and I have been listening to it over and over."
