"Appearing at my pub, THE CARPENTERS, London E2 tonight, MAYHEM was a surprisingly good act, playing with a verve and dynamism unusual in a mere pub covers band. Outstanding harmony vocals, and a quite brilliant keyboard player, who, I discovered afterwards, had been described by none other than David Bowie as “a genius”, appearing on a Sky TV documentary called “Trailblazers” in recent years, touted as the pioneer of a whole music era. Hearing him play ‘live’, I wouldn’t doubt it. And his sidekick, Carol, was no slouch herself, outstanding and distinctive vocals throughout. Will be out of our price league soon, I would say. "

"Review: From start to finish we have nothing but praise for The Krakens. Chris was quick to respond to my enquiry looking for a band to play at a 30th birthday party and kept in touch from then on. We were sent a varied list of songs to choose from; a mix of rock/pop both modern and classic. Once the booking was confirmed they asked us if there was anything we wanted added to the list and they would learn them for the evening! On the night the band turned up on time, and set up (and packed up) without any bother. Their performance was totally satisfactory, two excellent one-hour sets which included our requested numbers. Everyone agreed that The Krakens were a friendly, “tight” band that performed with confidence and professionalism which made our night that bit special. Would definitely recommend them!"

"“ We cannot recommend Lilac, Remko and the band highly enough for making our wedding party the best ever! They were so professional and diligent in their preparation before the event and amazingly unobtrusive as they set up and took all their equipment down. Their sets were inspirational and dynamic and got everyone of all ages on the dance floor! Great variety and great rhythm. The different musical skills of all their band members were hugely complimentary and they helped make our evening very memorable. The lead singers were charismatic and magnetic. "Well guys, what can I say.. you were the most amazing band we could have EVER asked for.. it was as if you belonged with us on the day and were as much a part of our day as our family and friends. Your music talent.. I have no words.. you made me laugh, sing.. and dance. I have no voice.. and ache from head to toe. During the entire evening all people could say were how good you guys were! "Amazing, brilliant, fantastic, wonderful.......some of the words I have heard about your performance on Saturday evening. And I agree with every single sentiment. Thank you so so much for helping to make our evening such great fun, the music was amazing, and you made such a good choice of songs. Finally your accompanying of our Choir with 'Sweet Caroline' was brilliant, and a great experience for us, hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. My mind is already thinking about another celebration, maybe not quite as big as this time! So expect another invitation sometime soon!!"

"If you are thinking of hiring these guys, don't hesitate!!! They will MAKE your night. I can't recommend them enough. Lovely lads. Fantastic sets. Keep an eye on these lads, they are going far, had so much more to offer than other bands we looked at. So glad we booked them. They had EVERYONE up dancing the whole night - the days after our wedding everyone was talking about the band and nothing else! Can't wait to have them back. Thanks so much!"
