"Adam was really good throughout the booking, responding to emails quickly, providing an extensive set list to pick songs we definitely wanted, ones we didn’t mind either way and ones we didn’t want. He also sent a test clip singing our first dance song to see if we wanted the track or the band - we definitely wanted the band! The band were so good and kept a full dance floor all night, throughout their sets and DJ’ing. They had a friendly and professional attitude. Thanks so much! Ellie & Tom"

"I just have to thank Black Velvet Band for the great job they did at my 70th birthday ceilidh in Bristol on 24th June. I had such a great time, and that was partly down to the three of them working hard, and giving us great music to dance to. I danced every dance and enjoyed it so much. When the caller was explaining how to reel I thought, "Uh oh, this'll be fun!" and it certainly was ... I haven't laughed so much in ages. So, well done everyone involved, and if we ever have another I'll be sure to contact you again."

"After being let down by our usual band, Lilac was kind enough to secure a last-minute band for our 2018 New Year's Eve celebration, which we appreciated wasn't easy. The band was just what we needed. The dance floor was full all evening and bar earnings doubled from the previous year well before midnight. I warmly recommend this high class act."

"Absolute played at our Wedding Ball on the 10th July 2021 and were fabulous. Coming out of the Covid restrictions they were just what the doctor ordered. So professional, great musicality, brilliant fiddle playing and fantastic voices. 'THEY WERE EPIC' and made our day just that little bit more special. "Wow! What an evening we had! We absolutely LOVED our wedding evening and you absolutely made the night! We LOVED the dances, and so did all our guests. I couldn’t get over how good you all were! "We hired John and his band as a quintet for our wedding and what a wonderful choice. The guys travelled to the New Forest for us for our big day. Superb sound and multi talented. They provided a substantive song list to choose from plus a couple of extra requests. They had everyone up and rocking. Wonderful Irish sound and a memorable singalong to ‘Dirty Old Town’ to more modern music. On top of that lovely guys with a warm personality who really looked like they enjoyed performing. Recommended for any event. Many thanks for helping our day memorable. Paul and Jo"

"Had these guys along for my recent wedding as we wanted something that would be inclusive for all people attending to get involved in. The band were all that I could hope for. "You will not regret booking It Takes 2 for your wedding party or other celebration. Kelly's communication was excellent from the start. The pair are highly professional and skilled musicians. Our guests were dancing from start to finish. We can't thank them enough for providing great entertainment for our wedding celebration!"
