"Behan’s Footsteps came to play at my husband’s 60th birthday party, they were absolutely fantastic and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing good music at their event. They responded very quickly to my queries and requests and were an absolute pleasure to deal with, we would hire them again if we have another ‘do’"

"Booked Party Sounds and had only seen a little of them on the net , so didn’t know what I was going to get. But wow ,What a great bunch of guys, arrived in plenty of time to set up with no hassle at all. Did a sound check and then we were straight into the party as guests started arriving. They played some of our requests and then just played to the room. They got it spot on and the dance floor spilled over into the rest of the marquee. The dance floor was full all night. We had a lady come and do some line dancing tuition (great fun) for an hour in between and she said she’d not heard a band that good for a while and asked for their number. If I could give them a twelve I would. Great band the best booking you’ll make."

"Thank you, guys, for finding time beforehand to rehearse with Amy, the bridegroom’s sister, who sang Elton John’s “Your Song” for the bride and groom’s 1st dance. It was beautiful and very special to have her sing their first song with accompaniment from the band. I think everyone was very moved by it (we are hoping someone filmed it but are not sure!). The dance floor was packed all evening for the ceilidh and we all had great fun - which was the intention. It was an amazing day, evening and whole weekend - we carried on the celebrations on Sunday! Thank you to Black Velvet Band for helping to make the wedding so memorable. "

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio were a fantastic edition to our Burns Night celebrations. From communicating before the event to the actual day, the group were professional and easy to reach. They also went above and beyond what their initial brief by ed by agreeing to toast the haggis – which was met with cheers - and taking suggestions from the crowd for different dances. By the end of the night they felt like part of the ROSL family."

"Dear Helen, David and I don't know how to thank you and your colleagues enough for your absolutely brilliant contribution to our wedding reception. Everyone was raving about how great you were, and I can't count how many times I said, in response to how I found you; "The best ever result of days of google searching" I think that I told you this before, but I listened to so many clips of bands, and it took me about 30 seconds of listening to you to know that you were the right people for the wedding of two musicians, whose guest list was chock full of musicians! I have an absolutely hilarious video of my 7 year old niece going crazy to your music, which I would be happy to send along if you would like. She is officially your biggest fan, and loudly declared that evening "That music makes this the BEST WEDDING EVER!!!" Please could you pass along our admiration and gratitude to the rest of the band? "The band were an absolute delight, just the right mix of professional musicians and informal enough to mix in with people and jolly them along. They were completely marvellous and everyone had a great time, even though some people had never done ceilidh dancing before and were a little shy."

"The Blaggers' music was irresistibly danceable. Their energetic and extremely skilled performance created a highly festive air. Their interpretations of folk music were as original as it was entertaining. I would not hesitate in recommending this hugely professional band. "
