"We had an absolute ball on our wedding night and that was definitely due to you guys. The music was brilliant and the flexibility when I requested a song and when you allowed one of our guests to serenade us was most appreciated. The variety of music we could choose from was great and allowed us to pick something for everyone - although I don’t think I managed to leave the dance floor all night! We thought you did a fantastic job and really looked the part and it felt like you were playing for most of the evening apart from a short break. "Can't recommend this duo highly enough. After our wedding was cancelled in March 2020, they were completely understanding and patient with us as we rescheduled for 2 years later. Their performance throughout the day completely justified the wait in helping to create the perfect day that we had always planned rather than to have a covid wedding. They even accommodated a fairly intricate request for the bride's entrance and completely nailed it!"

"We just wanted to thank you both so much for playing so perfectly at our wedding on 7th June 2014 at Chilston Park. It was wonderful to see you both there playing when we arrived and to see that you had been entertaining our guests. We also loved your playing at the beginning of our wedding breakfast, it created a great atmosphere. Thank you and we hope to work with you again some time."

"We've had Sonia play a number of times at the bar and it's always a lovely night. She reads the crowd very well and plays a good mix of popular jazz tunes, all beautifully played and Sonia's vocals are warm, silky and wonderful. I would definitely recommend her!"

"I highly recommend Soul Messengers. Absolute 10/10. They performed at our wedding and our guests LOVED them as much as we did. They are both so talented and full of positive energy and good vibes. Soul Messengers reply to messages very quickly and are very flexible to play at the times you wish for them to. They are so friendly and helpful with any questions. Their song list is incredible and they also give you the option to request beforehand any separate songs too. Soul Messengers played for us both during our meal and for a couple of hours after too and it was just perfect. They got all of our guests involved, with everyone singing and dancing with them and they played both inside and outside of our venue. We are so glad that we found Soul Messengers to perform. If you’re looking for a band/ roaming band, look no further! Thank you to Soul Messengers, you are great, what a special day!"

"Rating 5/6 : Very Enjoyable Absolute Mayhem The Horse & Chains, Bushey on Saturday 30 September 2023 It's a rare thing to go into a local pub and hear a keyboard player who has been described as a musical "genius" by none other than David Bowie. This is no tall story either. The musician Billy Ritchie was the first player in rock music to give keyboards a prominent role -- and that was before Keith Emerson (ELP) and Rick Wakeman came on the scene. Billy told me that he remained good friends with the Thin White Duke until his death in 2016. Lanark-born Mr Ritchie now provides the skilful and fancy keyboards and records backing tracks for his latest incarnation Mayhem with talented female singer Carol Leslie. Carol is a really strong vocalist with a gutsy style. This dynamic duo started their first set at the cosy Sebright Arms with Elvis's late sixties' classic Suspicious Minds. The second song was a surprise -- Kirsty MacColl's comedy number There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears His Elvis. It was a perfect choice after the first song. Carol and Billy select their material wisely and give their audience something very different from the predictable Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl and I Saw Her Standing There, churned out by so many pub bands. So it was great to hear Georgio Moroder and Phil Oakey's electro smash Together In Electric Dreams, Matchbox's catchy rocker Rockabilly Rebel, Starship's uplifting We Built This City (on which Billy demonstrated his keyboard dexterity) and Solomon Burke's gospel-ish Cry To Me. And that was just the first half. Carol is happy to tackle songs usually associated with male vocalists and she started part two with a raucous version of Bryan Adams' rocker Summer Of 69. If you have never seen Mayhem, ask Billy to perform Light My Fire, the Doors rock classic from 1967. This was a sheer musical masterclass as he re-created both vocally and instrumentally this great song. Billy has a rich, tuneful voice and this was a stunning performance. Other highlights in the second half included Journey's rock anthem Don't Stop Believing, Carol's gritty interpretation if Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like A Woman and a fine performance of Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer A total of 24 songs and I cannot wait to see this duo again. My only concern is their name. I think many club and pubgoers might think Mayhem are a heavy metal band rather than an all-round, top class duo. "Soiree created the perfect atmosphere at my drinks party this Summer. They asked what sort of vibe I was after, I gave them a couple of special requests and they took care of everything from there. Having the live trumpet added to the afternoon- they certainly gave us a party to remember."

"Just a quick note of thanks for your services on Friday. You guys were great to work with throughout and the sound of the marimbas in the house was just perfect - many of the guests commented as much."
