"If you haven't seen this band and you are into pirate folk rock then don't delay. It was the first time for me and I was blown away. If you want a lively evening with some very talented musicians who want you to join in with them then this is for you!!"

"I booked The Reminders for my wedding party. Sounded great and it was a wonderful day and night. Glad I booked them as we were going to get a DJ, but the live music was just right for the atmosphere and they did a DJ set after as well anyway. Recommended! "

"A massive thank you to the band who were amazing! They were the cherry on the top of our day, and helped make it even more memorable. We had so much fun and the bride spent the entire time they were there dancing to every song. Everyone we've spoken to since the day has commented on how brilliant they were, and the energy and fun they gave to the evening was just fantastic. We also want to thank them for being so accommodating when they arrived, as there was a slight issue with the stage which meant they started later than we originally thought. This did not seem to cause them any issue, and they were incredibly professional and generally awesome. We'll be recommending them to everyone, and we're already looking for an excuse to hire them again. We think they rock! Our sincere thanks and appreciation to all of them. 18th October '14"

"The band was booked to play at our fund raiser event at Farringdon Village Hall, East Devon. We had organised a village Barn Dance / Social in order for parishioners to gather from around the extensive parish, and to raise funds for the village hall. Wow! How great were these guys!!!??? Simply brilliant. Three very laid back, no fuss, no nonsense musicians who worked wonders in getting everyone dancing to some great tunes. Even die-hard 'non-dancers' were dancing. A friend and neighbour found this band and recommended that we use them. What a great choice. We would certainly recommend Blue Jewel to anyone considering hiring a professional local Ceilidh band. Thank you very much Blue Jewel; you certainly helped make the night a great success."

"Alex and the band came to our venue at 6pn and set up ready for the 1st dance at 7pm. From them they played 2 sets and Managed the DJing in between. They were brilliant! From the start to the end the music they played was excellent and they sounded great. We had so many compliments from guests wanting to know who they were. I was in communications with Alex a few weeks prior to the wedding. he was happy to send me his set list but was also happy when I requested he not play some of the songs on the list. I told him I was into a certain band and he went out of his way to add that into the bands set list, which was brilliant. I cannot recommend them more. Thank you for everything, you were all amazing!"

"The band were absolutely 10/10. We hired ‘The Marvellous Motown Souls’ (10 piece) for our wedding. My goodness, this band are awesome! They were first class from start to finish. The communication from James when planning was outstanding. They learnt multiple additional songs at a request without additional charge. They even accommodated my terrible singing on stage for one song. Our venue commented on how polite and helpful the band were when they were setting up their equipment and instruments. The full and polished sound they produce is quite simply First Class. Our dance floor was packed from start to finish. So many of our guests have commented on how fantastic the band were. Guys you really made our wedding reception super special and we are so very grateful to you. If you are searching for a wedding band then you really can’t do any better than The Marvellous Motown Souls."

"Francesca has performed twice for us, and both times she has been superb. She and her backing musicians were first class, they delivered exactly the right kind of music at the right time, and if I plan another celebration, I won't hesitate to book her again. The only thing I would do differently would be to delegate some of the hosting responsibilities so that I would be able to spend more time just listening to a singer and a group of musicians performing at the top of their game. "

Both Cat and I couldn’t have been happier with the set list and performance – we’ve had plenty of comments from our guests about how good you guys were, particularly some of the guitar work so please pass on our thanks to the rest of the crew. Also, I think your suggestion to have the second guitarist was brilliant as it really added to the fullness of the sounds, particularly for some of the rockier tunes. I’m not sure if it’ll materialise into anything, but I did suggest to the venue that they get you onto their recommended suppliers list… Thanks again, Sean & Cat. "

"The Flo Collective kindly agreed to play at our Wedding reception and I can honestly say it was the best decision throughout the entire wedding planning process that we made. Not only are the Flo Collective an incredibly talented group of Musicians, they are bursting with energy, kindness and partied with us all night. You'll fall in love with Flo's voice instantaneously & you'll never regret booking these guys for any function."
