Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"‘The Covered’ were fantastic for my Mum’s 70s/80s themed birthday party. We chose them from the great reviews they have online, and were certainly not disappointed. John was very responsive to all emails, and was able to accommodate all of our song requests either with the band themselves or the playlist he created for us. We were very impressed with the set up of the 6 piece band (plus their own sound engineer), and their early arrival to make sure everything was sorted before guests arrived. Throughout the night they were incredibly flexible to changes to our planned schedule e.g. starting slightly later to accommodate slower eaters! This is before we even mention their actual performance which was brilliant - both lead singers had great voices and the sound quality was just what we were looking for. We would definitely hire them again!"

"Licksquid recently played at our wedding. The band were absolutely fantastic. From the beginning they were extremely professional and on the night they had the whole dance floor filled! All of our guests commented on how great they were! We'd definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of hiring a wedding band in the future!!"

"I wanted to say a big thank you for our wedding the other night. You guys totally rocked the place and everyone loved you! You pitched up on time, played a great set, were friendly, professional, totally knew what you were doing (not that I expected anything less) and I loved it when I caught you playing something different as a small interlude piece. It was really nice. A number of people have since complimented the ceilidh. At a wedding, the entertainment is always crucial to how much fun people have, and you guys were worth all the money!"

You also managed to play loud enough to give the party a great atmosphere, without drowning out conversation - not an easy task in a relatively small space with low ceilings. "We asked Steph to perform during the drinks reception after our wedding ceremony. She was very easy to work with and performed a mix of genres and awesome covers. We, and our guests, loved her performance and she really added to the atmosphere of our day. We would definitely recommend her!"
