"They were absolutely fantastic. The dance floor was full all night, and they interacted with guests so well. One of our nephews was invited on stage with them for a guitar solo which he LOVED and was such a nice touch. Can't recommend Straight Up enough. "

"In December 2013 we went to see local band Licksquid at the Poet and Castle in Codnor,Derbyshire. We had previously seen them on just a couple of occasions and had really enjoyed their performance. During this evening I enquired if they were available to play at our daughters 21st birthday party in September 2014. Luckily they were available and I booked Licksquid that same evening. During the months which followed, my hubby and myself watched the band at various venues and loved every minute of each performance. We genuinely felt that each time was even better than the previous ones and we were really pleased we had them booked in for Chloe's party. When the date finally came around they went down a storm. They filled the dancefloor and created an amazing atmosphere with their fabulous playlist which covers a fair few decades. One thing that really shone through for me was their lovely banter with each other. It made the evening and our friends and family had a brilliant time. All three of them created an atmosphere which I can only describe as buzzing. It all went without a hitch. Well done lads. You are all a credit to yourselves and each other. We will always remember Chloe's 21st with fondness."

"Jules and the team made our intimate wedding at Home House just incredible. The choir is literally amazing, each singer individually brilliant. The songs and arrangements were stunning. We would recommend everyone to use Golden Gospel, and when we have our big, delayed wedding party in 2022, Jules will be our first call!"

"From my very first enquiry for my 30th birthday party, Deep Down Brass were so responsive and helpful, to the day of the event when they were there in plenty of time, set up without a fuss, looked amazing, we’re super flexible to my needs and played three fantastic sets which had the dance floor full all night. Particular highlights for me where when the band entered from all different corners of the room, my guests were wowed! And when Freed From Desire was playing during one of their between set breaks and they came out playing along, the room went mad and we had carnage for a few minutes! It was epic. Something so different to hear your favourite songs on brass. My guests are still talking about it now and I’m trying to think of an excuse for another party so I can book them again!"

"Kiki and her ‘Mumager’ are absolutely wonderful. Nothing too much trouble for our wedding. We had Kiki sing at the ceremony and then 2 sets after at the drinks reception joined by a sax player. Our requests were met with enthusiasm and excitement, great communication and what a voice. Lots of people commented on her extraordinary vocals. So pleased we found her on hitched."

"Nicky, Jake and Richie provided exactly the blend of music we were hoping for to entertain a fun loving mixed age group at our 50th wedding anniversary. It offered rich entertainment while allowing guest to converse and mingle - and later on the opportunity for hitting the dance floor, even at our advanced age! "Just wanted to write to say sincere thanks to you, Gerry and Mike for making our Burns Night so special last night. You created a fantastic and fun atmosphere with your talented playing, vocals and humour while your efforts to organise our dances were much appreciated and enthusiastically received by all. Numerous members of our gathering mentioned to me how much they enjoyed the band. That was also backed up by how ready people were to get up to take part in the dances.
