"The VIP Formula did a superb job entertaining our family for my mother’s surprise birthday party. they were extremely amenable to my mom’s wishes - knowing all of her songs and adjusting their set list to cope. I’d highly recommend The VIP Formula to anyone looking for a way to get the party going and people dancing."

"Absolute Mayhem The Horse & Chains, Bushey on Saturday 30 September 2023 It's a rare thing to go into a local pub and hear a keyboard player who has been described as a musical "genius" by none other than David Bowie. This is no tall story either. The musician Billy Ritchie was the first player in rock music to give keyboards a prominent role -- and that was before Keith Emerson (ELP) and Rick Wakeman came on the scene. Billy told me that he remained good friends with the Thin White Duke until his death in 2016. Lanark-born Mr Ritchie now provides the skilful and fancy keyboards and records backing tracks for his latest incarnation Mayhem with talented female singer Carol Leslie. Carol is a really strong vocalist with a gutsy style. This dynamic duo started their first set at the cosy Sebright Arms with Elvis's late sixties' classic Suspicious Minds. The second song was a surprise -- Kirsty MacColl's comedy number There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears His Elvis. It was a perfect choice after the first song. Carol and Billy select their material wisely and give their audience something very different from the predictable Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl and I Saw Her Standing There, churned out by so many pub bands. So it was great to hear Georgio Moroder and Phil Oakey's electro smash Together In Electric Dreams, Matchbox's catchy rocker Rockabilly Rebel, Starship's uplifting We Built This City (on which Billy demonstrated his keyboard dexterity) and Solomon Burke's gospel-ish Cry To Me. And that was just the first half. Carol is happy to tackle songs usually associated with male vocalists and she started part two with a raucous version of Bryan Adams' rocker Summer Of 69. If you have never seen Mayhem, ask Billy to perform Light My Fire, the Doors rock classic from 1967. This was a sheer musical masterclass as he re-created both vocally and instrumentally this great song. Billy has a rich, tuneful voice and this was a stunning performance. Other highlights in the second half included Journey's rock anthem Don't Stop Believing, Carol's gritty interpretation if Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like A Woman and a fine performance of Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer A total of 24 songs and I cannot wait to see this duo again. My only concern is their name. I think many club and pubgoers might think Mayhem are a heavy metal band rather than an all-round, top class duo. "Kip was an easy going point of contact - answered promptly and went with the flow. Very much the same in person! His calling was clear and gentle, and struck the right balance of humour and efficiency. He even joined in when we were a person short. The band were fantastic and so in sync with eachother. All the guests had a great time and even those who wouldn't normally join in felt compelled to do so. Certainly a highlight of our wonderful day. Thank you Blue Jewel :) Sean and Liz"

"OMG, we absolutely adore this band. And have seen them 3 times. I first booked them to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. The occasion was just after lockdown ended. We had a garden party with a private chef serving canapés and a 3 course meal. We wanted Nightcaps to play light background music whilst we were eating, then lift the tempo after the meal so we could start partying! The second time was for my 40th. Again it was a garden party, this time with a Hawaiian theme. This time we did a lot more rocking around till late. The last time we saw Nightcaps was in a public performance in Shepperton. They all complement each other so well as a band, you can tell they love playing together and sharing their music with the audience. Big 💗 for Nightcaps 🙌🏼🎷🎸🎤🎶🌟🙌🏼"

"We booked Kate for our wedding ceremony last summer and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made! We had a small ceremony and a larger hotel reception and I was sad thinking that most of our wedding party wouldn't get the chance to hear Kate sing as they weren't at the ceremony. So I booked her for the meal too! Her voice is so perfect for both settings and blended well with the harpist that we had booked too. I am a singer myself and was quite picky about the singing voice I wanted and the minute I heard Kate's voice I was sold. She was so professional to work with too. She was the talk of the wedding. 5 stars from us. ⭐"

"I booked Golden Gospel as a surprise for my bride at our wedding this weekend. This was our 4th date and every step of the way Jules has been amazing at keeping in touch. To say I was blown away by their performance is an understatement. I was expecting them to be great but they brought my wedding guests to tears with their opening number and took us all on an amazing musical journey which added something special to our day. Jules even agreed to put together a unique rendition of one of our songs just for us and performed it for the first time for our guests...it was beautiful. I cant thank Golden Gospel enough for what they brought to our big day and would love to hear them perform again."

"Just to say a huge thank you for Saturday night. James was so helpful in organising the booking, nothing was too much trouble. On the night, everyone was absolutely blown away with the standard of the band, such a great range of repertoire all of which was highly polished and performed to the highest standard with so much energy and enthusiasm. Simply superb lads!!!! Best wishes Ian "
