"Luisa's playing was excellent and the choice of music was just right. She took the time to talk through and play a few pieces two months before the wedding. We were delighted with her."

"I would say finding a wedding band was one of the hardest parts of planning our wedding, I found Amplified and booked instantly, I can honestly say that it was one of our best decisions on the wedding day. The band are amazing, the dance floor was always full and the band were on the dance floor with all our guests. We have received so many great reviews from our guests! Requests were taken on the night and “one last song” went on for a few more songs! THANK YOU!! "

"I just wanted to say a Big Thank you, The Haystacks Band made our day so special and I really don't think we would have got our daughter Jess to sing without a little persuasion from you guys. Loads of people have commented on how good you were, and it created a really good atmosphere even giving us a couple of extra songs to take us to a natural end."

"Nikita's performance was a standout in our daily evening entertainment aboard The World this July. Her extraordinary vocal range, spanning classic to modern pop, R&B, and soul, mesmerized our residents and guests. Her captivating voice and dynamic presence turned each evening into a memorable event. We only wish she could have stayed longer to delight us with more of her musical talent. "

"Dear Anne, Thank you so much for your beautiful playing and for leading the orchestra for our rehearsal and concert on Saturday. Thanks too for being so helpful during the preparation process over the past few months and for all your emails and messages to players - it makes a real difference. It's such a treat for the choir to sing with orchestra and the singers seem to have really enjoyed themselves. A number of people (choir, soloists, audience) commented afterwards on how moving the 'Prayer for Ukraine' was. Looking forward to seeing you in December for the Vaughan Williams programme. Meanwhile, have a wonderful summer. With best wishes, Nicola "

"Rating 5/6 : Very Enjoyable Absolute Mayhem The Horse & Chains, Bushey on Saturday 30 September 2023 It's a rare thing to go into a local pub and hear a keyboard player who has been described as a musical "genius" by none other than David Bowie. This is no tall story either. The musician Billy Ritchie was the first player in rock music to give keyboards a prominent role -- and that was before Keith Emerson (ELP) and Rick Wakeman came on the scene. Billy told me that he remained good friends with the Thin White Duke until his death in 2016. Lanark-born Mr Ritchie now provides the skilful and fancy keyboards and records backing tracks for his latest incarnation Mayhem with talented female singer Carol Leslie. Carol is a really strong vocalist with a gutsy style. This dynamic duo started their first set at the cosy Sebright Arms with Elvis's late sixties' classic Suspicious Minds. The second song was a surprise -- Kirsty MacColl's comedy number There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears His Elvis. It was a perfect choice after the first song. Carol and Billy select their material wisely and give their audience something very different from the predictable Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl and I Saw Her Standing There, churned out by so many pub bands. So it was great to hear Georgio Moroder and Phil Oakey's electro smash Together In Electric Dreams, Matchbox's catchy rocker Rockabilly Rebel, Starship's uplifting We Built This City (on which Billy demonstrated his keyboard dexterity) and Solomon Burke's gospel-ish Cry To Me. And that was just the first half. Carol is happy to tackle songs usually associated with male vocalists and she started part two with a raucous version of Bryan Adams' rocker Summer Of 69. If you have never seen Mayhem, ask Billy to perform Light My Fire, the Doors rock classic from 1967. This was a sheer musical masterclass as he re-created both vocally and instrumentally this great song. Billy has a rich, tuneful voice and this was a stunning performance. Other highlights in the second half included Journey's rock anthem Don't Stop Believing, Carol's gritty interpretation if Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like A Woman and a fine performance of Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer A total of 24 songs and I cannot wait to see this duo again. My only concern is their name. I think many club and pubgoers might think Mayhem are a heavy metal band rather than an all-round, top class duo. "Honestly, Niki was amazing. We had thought of having our own music playing through speakers and then a special musical choice added on, so when we found Niki we were excited. We used her sound system and connected our phones for the times she wasn't on which was perfect. In the lead up to the day she had a lovely long call with us to talk about music choices and timings and outfits, she was always available to message, and on the day she dressed in our theme colours and smashed it out of the park! Everyone was on the dance floor, everyone was in awe, and mostly everyone's favourite thing from the wedding was Niki. So much fun and some great songs, old and new, we can not review Niki high enough - worth every penny and more. Thank you Niki for bringing something special to our day.x"
