"Ruby was brilliant She turned up early, greeted us really well and set up quickly with no issues. Did 2 sets and a costume change and even had customers dancing Really great night Ruby was fantastic Would highly recommend "

"We booked 106 Miles to Chicago DUO and DJ's for one of our Christmas parties (6 weeks of parties with a different theme for each) and it sold out quicker than all the others. I couldn't believe the gear that they bought with them. Most bands just turn up and play, but Andy and Chris bought backdrops, props, a DJ booth and lights and made it look brilliant! Our guests were up and dancing almost immediately, and stayed up and dancing all night! Never seen that before! A fantastic night and a brilliant act."

"Just a quick note to say a very big Thank you from Mike and I for playing so brilliantly on Saturday evening. So many of our guests said that you ‘made’ the evening! It was lovely of you to play on when the cake cutting was delayed – again, our thanks. Sarah-Jane was quite right when she said that you were the best person for us!"

"I have been to 4 weddings with this band playing the latest being my sisters and the place was off the scale, they new how to keep people on the dance floor and played to there audience, top top guys also down to earth and willing to help in anyway, would recommend them to anyone."

"Hi Glen , you were amazing at my beautiful party last Sunday. A big thankyou to you and Paul for entertaining us all at my 70th birthday celebrations! You were wonderful, enjoyed by all. The weather was fantastic and you looked great sat up on your stage. Your repertoire was fab and like I said all my guests and my family thoroughly enjoyed listening to you! Some of us even had a little dance. I was so lucky with the weather, I get very emotional talking about it as I loved it so much and will remember it forever. I have listened to your cd's, they are brilliant! I will recomend you both to all my friends. I hope your journey home was ok and you didn't get stuck in any traffic. "Thank you, guys, for finding time beforehand to rehearse with Amy, the bridegroom’s sister, who sang Elton John’s “Your Song” for the bride and groom’s 1st dance. It was beautiful and very special to have her sing their first song with accompaniment from the band. I think everyone was very moved by it (we are hoping someone filmed it but are not sure!). The dance floor was packed all evening for the ceilidh and we all had great fun - which was the intention. It was an amazing day, evening and whole weekend - we carried on the celebrations on Sunday! Thank you to Black Velvet Band for helping to make the wedding so memorable. "

"Doesn't time fly by! Two weeks today since we got married and you came along to keep us entertained. It was an amazing day and you and your band contributed immensely. From the moment I contacted you I knew we had made the right choice. Your communication and understanding was excellent. Our 1930s theme fit right in with the venue and your style of music. We received lots of comments from our guests about how lovely it was to sit on the lawn drinking Pimms listening to you play whilst we were off having photos taken. It was so relaxing and elegant. Like being on a film set, one guest said. I think what made it for me was when all the guests had gone inside to sit down for the meal and we were passing some hotel guests sitting on the terrace enjoying the sun. As I walked passed one gentleman starting clapping and commented how beautiful I looked and thanked me for providing such wonderful music that he had enjoyed listening to; a real unexpected pleasure. In fact the venue told me the following day that quite a few hotel guests had commented on the great music. The evening was astounding. In the DJ sets you provided between Dr Jazz's live sessions you managed to fit in all our guests' special songs. This made it a lot more personal. And thank you so much for rearranging one of your songs to fit in with the routine we had learned for our first dance. This just shows how versatile and amenable you are. We would like to thank you for coming and making our wedding day most enjoyable, not just for us but for our guests. I have already been recommending you and will continue to do so."

"Hi Christian, I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for the most wonderful performance you organised for my Ladies Festival in May. Aside from your professionalism dealing with you prior to the event, I never dreamed that your performance would be THAT good!! The evening you gave us, filled with West-end tunes and film favourites delivered with such energy and excitement is still talked about by our guests. Personally for me, it was tremendous seeing everyone (young and old) on their feet joining in; you anticipated your audience perfectly, and gave us all an unforgettable night! I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone wishing to bring a little star quality to their evening and would like to take this opportunity to wish you well Christian in all that you do."

"We had a ceilidh for our wedding last week. Jake, Aidan, Anna and Rob were incredible. Jake in particular made the night and EVERYONE has said this to us, asking where we found him and that his enthusiasm got everyone up and dancing. The band were very flexible in terms of timings on the night as we were a bit delayed for one reason or another but they were great. Truly amazing and we can’t say thank you enough! The venue have echoed how great and how professional the band were, and are looking forward to having them back in the near future for another wedding. They all loved having a ceilidh there too! Cannot fault the whole experience from start to finish and it made the night so perfect. Would love to have a ceilidh every weekend..!"
