Review Centre: Function Bands

"The band was booked to play at our fund raiser event at Farringdon Village Hall, East Devon. We had organised a village Barn Dance / Social in order for parishioners to gather from around the extensive parish, and to raise funds for the village hall. Wow! How great were these guys!!!??? Simply brilliant. Three very laid back, no fuss, no nonsense musicians who worked wonders in getting everyone dancing to some great tunes. Even die-hard 'non-dancers' were dancing. A friend and neighbour found this band and recommended that we use them. What a great choice. We would certainly recommend Blue Jewel to anyone considering hiring a professional local Ceilidh band. Thank you very much Blue Jewel; you certainly helped make the night a great success."

"Emma has always been an inspiration to me musically and is someone with so much talent, integrity, patience and kindness. When she sang at my wedding in August 2013, with Chris, I was overwhelmed with how amazing they sounded and how perfectly their set fit with our event. Our song requests were performed AMAZINGLY and I really couldn't have asked for anything more. If anyone is thinking about hiring Emma for an event, or as a coach, I can definitely say she will be worth your money!"

"Ike and band played for us last Saturday (birthday party with 20 guests). They arrived on time, set everything up and played amazingly well, including our guests' wish list. They played even longer than we had booked them for (3x45min). I highly recommend the trio and happily book them again for the next event. 10/10”"

"The Songbirds entertained at my 50th birthday party last Saturday (8th November), in my local village hall, a smallish venue. They brought all their own equipment and set up quickly and efficiently and all they needed was a 3 pin plug. The ladies were immaculately turned out, and were incredibly friendly. They were fantastic! They sang songs that were really appropriate for the audience, and my guests and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Throughout the evening, so many people asked me "where did you find them?". I strongly suspect they will be invited back to my village by others. I would recommend them without hesitation. Thanks again both for making my 50th a very memorable and entertaining evening. "

"Radio Dukes played at our wedding and they were fabulous, all of our guests commented on how brilliant they were. I literally danced all night, they packed the dance floor full all night and were just brilliant. I would definitely recommend them for any occasion. All correspondence was professional and quick and they were super flexible. Ive never hired a band before but they made the whole experience stress free! "

"The band was fabulous. They arrived on time and set up without a fuss. At the last minute our plans changed slightly and the band were very accommodating. Their sound was very well setup and the music they played was first class. Many guests commented on how much they enjoyed their performance. They made a goodnight into a great night. "From the moment we started watching their video clips, we knew that over the threshold were for us. They did not disappoint. From our first contact online to our last song. The band helped us make our day extra special. They nailed our live requests and the DJ sets covered our tastes. The acoustic set in the afternoon is highly recommended. Some quests commented " I asked him to play Blink and he just did it". All we can say is 10 out of 10. Thank you so much Cat & Mike"

"Had two steel drum players, they were brilliant, created an amazing atmosphere at the high rocks in Tunbridge wells for my sisters wedding. The sun was shining it was fabulous and everyone commented on them.
