"Element were a dream to work with for my father's surprise 60th. I chose them because of the repertoire and yet when I requested a song that was not on the song list they were quick to put it together just for our event. On the night, they slipped in amidst the chaos of 120 people, they prepared and were ready to play. The schedule had to be changed a few times on the night and they were flexible and professional throughout...and then they played. It was beautiful. One of my Uncles stood up involuntarily during Nessun Dorma to look closer and my father repeatedly leant over the dinner table to remark on how wonderfully they played. I could not recommend the Element string Quartet highly enough, but I will certainly try! 6th December 2017"

"Nick and the guys were absolutely amazing - from our first dance to our final song there was never an empty dance floor! Our first dance wasn’t a regular of their repertoire but The Leathernecks learned it - and it was perfection and brought the night alive with such ease. Guests were in awe on the night and and continue to tell us how incredible they were. Thank you again for going above and beyond our expectations! Couldn’t recommend them enough."

"We hired The Blue Suede Shoes for our wedding reception in May. We had already married abroad but wanted to have a larger gathering back in the UK where we could invite everyone. On the day we had about 150 people, from new-born's to a couple of ladies who were 90+. So the entertainment was quite important to get right. We didn't know what we were looking for at first, we knew we wanted live music, but we had to cater for all tastes and ages. The Blue Suede Shoes were the first band that both my (new) wife and I agreed on instantly. Thankfully they were available, even though they are Surrey based they were willing to travel deep into Kent. They have a generous play list to choose from, and even have a 'handbook' on their website with a few hints and tips about booking live music (not just restricted to weddings etc...). Importantly, they were willing to learn a couple of other tracks for us - one was our first dance and another was a Robbie Williams track which is one of my wife's favourites. From the start of the booking process Ben was very informative, clear and helpful at every stage. He was easily contacted and able to offer advice where needed. On the day of the reception the band turned up early and started to set-up without any fuss. We had a family friend DJ-ing in the same area in the evening and by the time I'd come over to greet them they'd already sorted everything out themselves. Our reception was in a marquee outside and the weather alternated between strong sunshine and torrential rain. Even though the band had a set-list, they seemed to be able to play appropriate songs for the moment. Playing 'Ain't no sunshine when she's gone' in the middle of torrential rain made everyone laugh and kept peoples spirits up. The band were also happy to ad-lib a bit for the bridal entrance which was very much appreciated. They were great musicians, willing to interact with the guests and very friendly indeed. We would recommend them without question, not just for a wedding but for any party or gathering that needed live music. They were loud enough to be heard, but not so loud that you had to shout over them. The music was perfect to sit and listen to, but energetic enough for many people to get up and dance or it and tap their feet to. Thanks for helping to make or reception so memorable. Matt & Kim"

"Absolutely fantastic! Hannah performed music that was perfect for the event. The choice of music was faultless, and the requested tune was delivered beautifully. Arrived in good time and set up without any problems. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hannah. "

"Having reached the ripe old age of 65 this year, my partner organised a big Grumpy Old Gits Retirement Party for me in a marquee in our garden in Pangbourne. We had over 120 attend & most guests came dressed up as Old Gits (Victor Meldrew, Alf Garnet, Compo, Nora Batty etc.) and we needed a local band to get the place rocking, with a wide variety of covers from the 50's to the present day. Found Mike's band Back2Back (just up the road in Wantage) on this site and were not dissapointed. Fantastic set, got everyone up dancing, entertained us with humour between songs and even threw in a wireless solo guitar trip around the whole marquee. Very impressive PA sytem and lights, all remotely controlled by their own Sound Engineer and six musicians who know how to put on a very professional and tight sounding show. Everyone kept asking how we could afford such a good band. The nice thing is, they were so reasonable, we still had change out of our budget to spend the rest on a decent firework display at 10:30 in the evening, and after that, the band played on!! They were so good in fact, that as we organise the annual Pangbourne Village Fete each year, we have booked them as our main act for the second weekend in June 2019. I advise you try them out for your event before then (or come to the fete next year). Absolute rockers, thanks Mike and the rest of the band, see you in June, if not before at another event. "I saw them live some time ago and decided that they created the kind of atmosphere I wanted for my party. Once I made contact the communication was excellent and everything just went so smoothly from the initial booking to the final sound check. On the night they did not disappoint, playing an awesome set that really made the party. It was everything I hoped it would be and I would highly recommend them."
