Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"My hubby and I booked The Spectrum for our wedding this year. We originally booked another band around 9 months ago but they cancelled on us two months before our wedding. We nearly just booked a DJ and played it safe because we hadn't heard them live but once we listened to their demo's and saw the list of songs they choose from I knew they were the ones! Also speaking to James, one who sings, reassured us both and he was really helpful. It's clear that they have played for lots of weddings and understand how important it is to get things right! They played our first dance and from then on our reception was amazing! Everyone I spoke to commented on the band and how much fun it was. Plus some of my guests liked dancing with the guitarist on the dance floor when he was playing a solo! I would thoroughly recommend them and hope to see them at another wedding soon!"

Also thanks for the way you handled the drunk man wanting to sing Frank Sinatra situation haha! You handled it very well and professionally. "My wife & I recently hired Olly's House of Jazz for our wedding. We knew we were in for a good time when guests were itching to dance, just from hearing the band's sound check! Their playing was immaculate and they really knew how to light up the room, every single guest was either dancing (myself included) or they were tapping along from their seats. We could not have asked for a better band to play on our big day. I would also like to touch upon how responsive, patient and accommodating Olly was during the lead up to the day, agreeing not only to play multiple songs that I requested, but also learning a song for the first dance, which was so good, it has tainted my love for the original. All in all, it was a pleasure to have Olly and his band at our wedding and I wholly recommend them."

"Please pass on our huge thanks for the party band for Charlotte and Charlie’s wedding last Saturday. They were totally amazing, we could not have wished for more. They were brilliant coming and setting up earlier in the day, that made so much difference. The music was totally perfect for all the different age groups and the dance floor was alive all evening, the party really was magical they created so much atmosphere and really got everyone dancing together. They were all utterly brilliant, many many thanks to all. "

"Well what can we say, booking them was a decision I’ll never regret! We were actually very fussy in picking our wedding band so we looked through the internet and our search was a rather large radius. As soon as we listened to this band we knew they were what we were looking for! Alternative, high energy and brilliant repertoire. The band accommodated some last minute alterations and on the night we couldn’t have asked for any more! They filled the dance floor and I was actually rolling around on the floor by the end of the night. They made a special effort to learn our first dance which was utterly FANTASTIC and they even learnt a Scottish favourite of ours which the crowds absolutely loved. If you are thinking of booking them DO IT. Perfect band to have a brilliant evening of dancing and good tunes!"

"Willow Tree Barn Dance Band provided the music for my husband’s 70th birthday party. We found them to be most professional and organised, arrived in good time and nothing was too much trouble. The music and tuition were top notch. A fantastic evening of jollity and mayhem, with all of our guests young and old saying they had a most enjoyable evening. "

"CANNOT RATE THIS BAND HIGH ENOUGH! ? ? ? ? ? Honestly we booked them years back when our wedding was due and they were so accommodating throughout our date change and using our very chaotic playlist! When I say this band will get your guests on your feet I mean it! Honestly would get married again just to use them …. Yes we do stalk them when they play at festivals!"

"We hired The Scott Standards to perform at our wedding for our drinks reception and they were incredible from start to finish. The lead singer has a beautiful voice and so many of our guests commented on how amazing they were. They were very professional and performed the songs we’d requested. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you to The Scott Standards for being part of our special day!"

"Brilliant. We had a great New Year's Day house party and Dinner Jazz were perfect. Great repertoire, played lots of requests, which our guests loved, fabulous musicians. It was a pleasure to have them to play and we'll look forward to doing it again. Highly recommend. "
