Review Centre: Duos / Small Groups

"Paul was recommended to us by a former colleague. He provided a strong three-piece band to lead a ceilidh at our wedding reception. For an intergenerational group of mixed-ability dancers (including some with no ability) he was encouraging, clear in his verbal instructions, and the band uplifting and rhythmic. Just about everybody participated in the dancing at some point or another in the evening, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Communication with Paul at all stages was straightforward and easy, and I would heartily recommend him and his ensemble should anybody be considering commissioning a ceilidh!"

"JBMAC recently preformed a set at our wedding. Me and my wife were so pleased we chose them to preform. On the day they were nothing short of exceptional. The dance floor was buzzing and they really helped Create a party atmosphere. They accommodated our special request for the cake cut and first dance, providing a solo sax player. "The Fireflies were the most fantastic band. We had a very small group at our wedding and Ian managed to get every single person up dancing. Their music choice was fabulous. And communication between us in the lead up was brilliant. Ian even spoke to our venue regularly as we had a noise restriction and he handled all of that so we didn’t have to worry. He took all the stress out for us. I cannot recommend them highly enough. All the band were friendly and good fun. Thank you guys for making our wedding so special!"

"We had the absolute pleasure of having the String Trio Flux Ensemble play at our wedding, both as we entered the church and during our drinks reception, and it was nothing short of magical! They added such a special touch to the day, creating the perfect atmosphere with their beautiful renditions of modern songs. Their music truly set the tone, making our wedding even more memorable and unique. We couldn't have asked for a better group to be part of our celebration. Highly recommend them for any special occasion!"

"We saw Mozzle Brocha last Wednesday at the Landsdown and had a fabulous night. Wonderful music to bring joy to any day. Marianna is a charismatic lead singer, beautiful to listen to. Looking forward to seeing them again and if I have a party at any point I will definitely be booking them."

"We absolutely loved our set that we had at our reception. We originally had it booked for our wedding but due to covid had to cancel and rebook. RBFS were very understanding of this and helpful in fitting us in for another event. They were on time for setting up, and it added a lovely ambience to our reception. We had so many compliments from our guests and we too managed to capture the beautiful music. Very talented and highly recommend for any function! "

"James and the band were brilliant, and we are so glad we booked them for our wedding celebration. James was really helpful in the lead up to the day: getting in touch, making sure we were aligned on the schedule and following up with a clear plan. The band on the day were excellent - they performed a great selection of music played during our canapés, dinner and then dancing. Our guests loved the music, they were all on the dance floor even though we had a relatively small crowd! The band also learned a first dance song for us (Elvis Presley - The Wonder of You) and they performed it perfectly for us on the day! Thanks so much James & the band!"
