Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"We recently had Radio Dukes play at our wedding and they were simply superb. I have worked with many, many bands at various events over the years andRadio Dukes rates amongst the top. Throughout the planning, I have been so impressed with the professionalism shown by the band leader, Mitch. He remained in regular communication through email and phone which made it easier to organise. On the day, we had the two-piece acoustic duo through the drinks reception and then the five-piece for the evening. The duo created a really nice ambiance for people to chat/drink. The five-piece was simply great fun and the dance floor was full all night. They even allowed my cousin to sing our first dance with them which was a really lovely touch and we are so grateful for this. Setup/Break-down was all done quickly and with no hassle/issues. I could go on with how great they were but if you're thinking of hiring this band then the answer is simple, just go and do it!"

"We absolutely loved the SW Funk Collective (or Solar Funky Music - not sure what you’re actually called as your website has a different band name to LMM!) at our wedding. Not only did they do all the simple stuff perfectly (i.e. turning up on time and setting up efficiently with minimal invasion) but their performance was also fantastic. A truly cohesive group of talented musicians who not only do the Motown and funk classics of the 70s proud, but also curated a set list based on our preferences and learnt a song not normally in their repertoire because it mean’t something to us. Their performance was energetic and tight, and no effort was spared (including bringing and playing a slide whistle for just one song). I have already recommended them to several friends for their upcoming weddings. "

"I was excited when I met Joe and Dora on the Princess Crown Cruise in November. I was with two other couples for the special entertainment a few times in the Bar Lounge on the ship. It was a lot of fun listening to your music and dancing. I would like to let you know what happened a funny story when I first met them. As my friends were getting their formal pictures taken just before me in line, I suddenly decided that as I was single at this cruise, I would ask have my formal portrait with a dashing man standing behind me in line. I wanted to get a picture with a handsome young man to make my Single lady friends jealous at home. Wow! What a surprise when he said “ Great, but how would you like Adorra with you . Thank you so much for taking your picture with me. I was grateful for your generosity and kindness. The cruise was so memorable for me because of all of you. Thank you again."

"Phoenix 5 were absolutely incredible and totally made my party exactly what I had hoped for! They played an absolute great mix of songs and even learnt a new song for me! "Working with Lara and the girls in Hope String Quartet has been an absolute pleasure. Having contacted LIPA to enquire about availability of students, Lara from Hope String Quartet, was very prompt in responding with video footage and a bio. The Telegraph Cruise & Travel Show was a two day event at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10-4pm on Sunday. As the only string quartet at the event, it was quite demanding on the girls to play across both days with 1-1.5hrs sessions on a tight schedule. Their performances were fantastic and provided our visitors with a relaxing and intimate atmosphere within our Cream Tea Experience. We have received many lovely comments from our visitors since the show, and I would highly recommend Hope String Quartet for any event that requires a classy and sophisticated musical accompaniment. "

"We went to see Agra play at Café Ventoux. They were brilliant absolutely mesmerising ?. Steve's original songs were beautiful and emotional and of these extraordinary times. When Amy sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow I felt as if I'd never heard it before - beyond beautiful. If you get a chance to see them, you won't regret it."
