Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"A band at the Waterside Theatre took Beatles fans on the fastest and most hectic time trip imaginable as they ripped through the history of the world’s greatest pop group. Tribute The Fab 5 took the Aylesbury venue’s Second Space by storm to dash off around 45 songs in a two and a half hour gig that gave new meaning to value for money. Taking a leaf out of their heroes’ book, The Fab 5 worked their socks off in an almost non-stop succession of numbers that covered the original band’s dizzying collection of hits from 1963-70. They deserve the highest praise for not only offering a faithful rendition of the Beatles’ hits (many of which are incredibly hard to play and sing live) but a tantalising insight of what it would have been like to actually hear the music live in its day. Standout action featured a triumphant medley from Abbey Road and a stunning rendition of A Day In The Life, while a horn trio added colour and authenticity. There’ll only be one original Fab Four but there’s only really one creditable tribute band and that’s The Fab 5. As Carly Simon sang, nobody does it better..."

"Garage Nation performed at our wedding and were out of this world. The dance floor was packed all night long, an amazing range of songs from different eras and of course the awesome garage set at the end. They arrived perfectly on time and set-up without any fuss. They are all lovely people and slotted in to our day perfectly. We had endless people asking where we had found them, and the lead singers stole a few hearts! Thank you so much, an evening we will never forget. "

"I would just like to thank you for the wonderful performance on Sat night at my Daughter’s naming ceremony. We all had a great time, and everybody commented on how great the band was. I never laughed or enjoyed a dance so much and would like to have another party, just to have you play again. "Dear Anne I think it was one of the most enjoyable concerts I can remember. Your orchestra is always good, which is why we've encouraged Patrick to book you and let you choose the players. We are certain to ask for your help in the future. At least 2 of our 4 MD candidates know you! I think the choir did especially well, partly raising its game for Patrick but also because the music was fairly straight forward, we felt confident and performed rather than just sang! Sarah Ann was a delight and our experiment using Conservatoire soloists is proving successful. Best wishes Alistair  "

"Glitz n Glamour did the evening entertainment at my wedding and they were fabulous! The dance floor was packed from start to finish and they really looked the part too and even had a few costume changes! Tashara worked with us to work out a set that we’d really like and every song was choreographed as well so it was really professional. I’d absolutely recommend booking them for your event, you will have a BLAST! "

"I booked the group Jazzman for my Birthday party - The entire process from reviewing the band online & listening to their clips, booking with Sarah & her team and the actual entertainment delivered on the day was second to none. Nik the band leader was courteous and very helpful throughout the day...his singing & the band dynamics were excellent and all of my family & friends had a memorable day.
