Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"Last weekend we were fortunate enough to secure Lazy Marmalade as our band for our wedding. It’s always stressful finding a band for your wedding; one of the most important days of your life and it’s so hard to know where to start looking. Bottom line- Lazy Marmalade were immense. Great guys super friendly and most of all brilliant musicians. We had them throughout the whole day - ceremony, drinks and canapés and then evening DJ and live set. I couldn’t get over how many guests were commenting how great they were and our dance floor was full all night. Would 100% recommend- don’t look any further. Thanks Jon and Alex- legends- thanks Kay and Jeff."

"It was a great pleasure to work with you. Everyone was unanimous and strong. There was a great deal of praise for the string quartet, yourself especially and I feel very lucky to have had your expertise and experience to support the choir. It would be good to do a repeat performance but I do not know when that could be. I have a summer concert in May to work on now and the Christmas concerts 2018 and 2019 . If I leave it too long then of course the singers will forget the music and I will have to put in a lot of work to bring it back. Thank you once again for your marvellous music making. It has been absolutely great It is going to be a hard act to follow. Best Wishes, "

"I just wanted to say a massive thank you for Saturday. You were unbelievable and i have had so many complimentary comments from guests that i wish i could record them somehow to send to you! There were lots of ladies (and i expect a few gents!) moved to tears in the church. The afternoon music was also wonderful and set the mood perfectly."

"Will & Alex provided an excellent play list to enable our party to get off to a great start for all the ages. They were very professional in there approach to the day but joined in to make it a family affair on the night. The feed back from the guests was very positive and we wouldn't hesitate to book them again for our next party Once again thanks very much chaps"

"Last night we held our annual Academy Martial Arts awards night and 16th anniversary. The events previously have been quite low key and only really involved a DJ, but this time we wanted to reflect what we are as a school and go bigger. I've not organised an event like this before and from first contact James and the Spectrum band were absolutely fantastic!! They listened to our running order, gave advice, but more importantly gave us confidence that they would make this a good night. Throughout the evening there was constant communication between me, Spectrum and the sound engineers, who were also amazing. The night was a massive success and the band had everyone up and dancing to some banging tunes!! I really can't recommend these guys enough, their professionalism, their talent and their ability to adapt were second to none!! Thank you so much guys, we look forward to working with you again in the future."

We fully appreciate how you stepped in at the last minute and were so professional working around our timings. The acoustic set was an added bonus for us and set the tone perfectly. The evening set was then brilliant! It did exactly what we wanted by getting so many people on the dance floor, and keeping them there! Sorry it took a while to get the dancing going (I think we can blame the hot weather for that), but music was so special towards the end of the evening and we loved seeing everyone dancing - we really didn't want to leave!"

"First big party after lockdown (for the band, too) and they absolutely made our wedding. They were incredible with a really fat and professional sound, oozing confidence that filtered its way onto the dancefloor. "I had seen Tom perform a few years ago at a friends party. We then I asked him to sing at my partner's 40th birthday party, he was that brilliant we then asked him to perform with this duo at our wedding on the 1st of June 24. We were lucky enough to have Bobbi-Jo (Tom's wife) performing with him and her vocal cords are out of this world! She sang our wedding song (Power of Love by Jennifer Rush) which is a tough song! What else can I say? Absolutely superb. From right at the start when we were organising, to the day. Both amazing in their own right. Absolute dream team together. "As a station, we had hired Latina Festivale to play at our Summer Ball. They were to play at the beginning of the evening to create the atmosphere and to get everyone in the mood. Latina Festivale turned up in plenty of time and was nothing but professional. He was incredible helpful with supplying burnt disc with appropriate music on which were going used during our meal. This was above and beyond what they needed to do and was very much appreciated. The music that they played was perfect. It was just the right blend of upbeat and chilled to allowed all party goings to mingle and be heard but also enjoy the music. I would have no issues recommended this band to anyone and using them for future events. Many thanks for all your assistance and please pass on my thanks to the band. Kind Regards Sam (Samantha)"

"They played during the ceremony and the reception of our wedding. They just sounded amazing!! Dilys and her guitarist are very nice, easy to work with and most importantly their sound is stunning. All guests and ourselves loved them. Highly recommended. "

"Just a huge shout out to the band for playing my husbands party last Saturday. You were beyond fantastic, played longer than they were supposed to, shared the stage and their gear with a band they had never met. Utterly fab music. We have had so many letter commenting one of the best bands they have seen! We had a fab party, please pass on our thanks to all band members you made it hugely memorable and massive fun."
