Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"We hired these guys for our wedding. The girls sounded amazing and the whole band were so slick. The sound was at just the right level, loud enough to enjoy but not too loud that we couldn't speak to people in the next room. They were extremely kind and a pleasure to deal with even allowing the youngest wedding guest to play with their tambourine. I would love to do the whole wedding again and i would hire them again. Maybe my next big birthday party! Thank you all for making our wedding end on a fabulous note. Andrew & Lisa Cook x "

"Both my wife and I had the most incredible wedding day on 24/08/19, and your evening set was awesome from start to finish (we were blown away by your version of our request and the surprise of playing our wedding song at the very end!). We cannot thank you enough for an absolutely brilliant evening and for creating a superb atmosphere, along with fun memories. The guests loved you, proven by the fact that the dance floor was busy all night! It was a real pleasure having you celebrate our special day with us and we will certainly see you again in the near future, ready to rock out all over again! Hope you took lots of cake (if Wil didn’t get there first) and that you have a great time at your second gig in 24 hours. "Nora & Josh gave us the best private garden party atmosphere. Not easy for a small intimate group but they managed to get everyone up dancing and singing (& cartwheeling!!) Highly recommend."

"We hired these guys for our wedding April 2023 and we couldn’t be happier! They were amazing, so charismatic and fun! All our guests commented on how great they were and how much of a blast they were having. They played our first dance and we loved every second. We partied the night away. If you want a wedding that everyone raves about, hire these guys!"

"The Marvellous Motown Souls performed for the 2nd year running at a charity ball I organise. I can honestly say I wouldn’t even think about asking anyone else. They are such a fabulous band. They are versatile professional and so very helpful. Lizy has the voice of an angel, and the interaction with the guests is brilliant. I know I sold tickets for the event because they were playing. Thank you for helping make ICE Ball 2017 such a success xx"

"What can I say? If you are a fan of Irish music, instrumental or with vocals then Dermot and the rest of the amazing musicians are who you need to hire! They were an absolute joy and a pleasure to have play at my beloved father's wake. They are such lovely and friendly people as well as fantastic musicians with a vast array of instrumentation between them. They graciously accepted requests prior to the event and also from some of the guests. My dad would have absolutely loved it and it made a very sad day very joyful and comforting for everyone. Our guests commented on how wonderful they were and the pub staff as well. I highly recommend hiring Dermot and the gang for any event, not just a wake. Communication was excellent before hand and hiring Dermot and the band were the easiest part of the many arrangements that we had to make when organising our dad's funeral and a wake. We sincerely thank you and highly recommend you, The O'Brien family."

"Wedding at Kachette, Shoreditch, London (February 2025) Kirsty was fantastic throughout the whole process. She arranged a call at the start to discuss what we wanted for our DJ set at at the wedding. This was really helpful for getting us thinking about how we wanted to organise the set. She also sent a form with more information and it was clear that she took the process very seriously. She was always quick and friendly with communications, too. On the day, her set was great and incorporated all the tracks and genres we had discussed. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor! I felt very happy trusting Kirsty and it was an area of the wedding I was not stressed about at all. I’d highly recommend her for any wedding, birthday, private event etc.!"

"South West Band played our wedding of 100 people and they were amazing. Dancefloor never emptied out and everyone was so impressed. The band worked with us to pick a setlist that worked for our occasion and I wouldn't hesitate to book them again for any event I could justify! Five stars not enough."

"When friends who are in bands themselves say 'this group are amazing!', you know you have chosen well. Excellent sets with full dance floors and such a lovely, friendly, bunch, who happily accommodated all our requests. Would definitely have them again...they made the evening! Thank you SO much."

"Wow, what a band!! It can be really overwhelming looking for a wedding band as there are SO many to choose from (and some are so, so expensive). House of Chords ticked all our boxes: - Great communication - Very reasonably priced - Extremely professional and friendly nice guys - Fantastic repertoire of music - Flexible and willing to tailor the set list to our taste - SUPER, super talented - incredible musicians!! Everyone was commenting on how good the band were at our wedding party and we couldnt agree more. They were absolutely fantastic and the perfect band for a wedding with guests of all ages and tastes in music! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our night amazing - you guys rock! "OMG best band ever! they played at our wedding recently and I never stopped dancing! Brilliant energy, excellent musicians and they will always have the dance floor full! My guests are still talking about how good they were... A successful wedding = free bar, excellent food and most importantly an excellent band! Highly Highly Recommended!"
