"My new wife and I booked 106 miles to Chicago for our wedding. We were looking for a band with a set list of songs that people were going to know and dance to… and with 106 Miles to Chicago we got all that and more! Very professional, great interaction with the audience and a set list that kept us and our guests dancing and singing from the first song to the last. Andy finished off the evening with a DJ set that picked up exactly where the live performance finished, with everyone dancing and singing along until it was time to go home. 106 Miles to Chicago are excellent - They definitely helped make our day memorable. "Utterly brilliant! They did an amazing set and really filled the dance floor. Not only were they extremely professional and an awesome band, they were brilliant on the lead up to the wedding day too. Great communication and just a wonderful group. All night our guests told us how fabulous they were. If you're thinking of booking them then do... You won't regret it! Thanks, Mr and Mrs Tang."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / Claire’s 60th Birthday / May 2025 Black Velvet Trio were absolutely perfect for the barn dance we hosted. The trio were cool, calm and professional in their ability to literally herd cats! They were able to bring a huge smile to every face which was always my wish. The musicians were brilliant at just playing wonderful barn dance music whilst we laughed and bumped and crashed about with our two and sometimes three left feet. Our last (came too quick) dance was the Swiss Roll. We all loved it and would be so happy to have Black Velvet Trio back to do it all again."

"Remko and Lilac plus support organised a great evening of line dancing for 80 teenagers. After some initial reluctance they were soon tapping away and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. After a pizza break they then chilled to the sounds of the band. Thank you very much indeed and we will certainly be inviting the Band back."

"We booked the Black Velvet Band Gypsy Duo (accordion and fiddle) to play at our wedding celebration garden party in August. Mike and Jase played exactly the music we wanted, a lovely mix of traditional, modern, jazz, Irish and were happy to play requests. We live on a farm and when the duo started up, all our cows came running up the field and stayed close to enjoy the lovely sounds coming from the garden. I have to say, the two were perfect for our garden party and the sound of the fiddle and accordion ringing out into the evening was absolutely lovely and was thoroughly enjoyed by our guests whose ages ranged from six to ninety! Mike and Jase are lovely, affable chaps and we should have no hesitation in booking them again if we have another “do”! I highly recommend them. "

"I just wanted to say such a huge thank you for the amazing performance that you gave. You were so friendly and willing to help in any way that any nervousness about getting up to dance was immediately dismissed. I was extremely apprehensive prior to the night about how the dancing would go down, especially with my two left feet! However my worrying was in vain, what a fantastic night of dancing it was, so inclusive that any and all can get up and get involved, aged 5 or 105. You need no experience or talent, just listen to the brilliant calling, it’s all simple moves but when it comes together with all your friends and family on the night, prepare to be amazed. I can not thank the band enough for making our Wedding such a fantastic night, I have never seen so many people thoroughly enjoying themselves all at once. I can sincerely recommend the Black Velvet Band for any social occasion, your expectations will be exceeded."
