"Dear Lilac, I just wanted to send a thank you to you and the band for the 2 August performance. Everyone really enjoyed the music and commented on how the country band was excellent. I appreciate your learning the songs I sent over- I think you did a brilliant job. You also did a great mix of music that went really well together, we really enjoyed dancing to it. My husband said he thought you and your band made the weekend, you were his favorite and that is saying a lot considering we had 4 performances that weekend. "We were very impressed with Jack Abbey's professionalism. He has a lovely voice, plays the guitar very well and he didn't turn the volume up so loud that our guests couldn't hear each other talking - just perfect. Jack sang songs which we requested when we originally booked him - which were Country & Western / 50's /60's & 70's songs. They went down a treat with everyone being of our era. We had lots of people saying how good he was and how they enjoyed listening to him. Thank You Jack. XX "

"Many thanks to Kelly & Graham of ‘It takes 2’ It was an absolute pleasure to meet Kelly & Graham of It Takes 2 last night Afan Tavern Cwmavon With years of experience this duo kept the night alive with a mixture of upbeat songs ranging from 50,s to current top hits of rock, pop & country music, all of which kept the crowd dancing who thoroughly enjoyed! Kelly’s vocals & personality lit up the room along with Graham’s vast musical experience which he made playing the electric guitar look so easy! This is such a friendly talented duo who is accomodating to requests and you can rely on for a good time! Good luck in 2024 Kelly & Graham! We look forward to seeing you again soon! "Up The Country played at my mums 60th party and they were the highlight of our night! We are high country fans and this band brought all the hits with them and had everyone on the dan floor! Love it, we cant thank you enough and would highly recommend!"

"We booked Steve Evans in for some live music at our restaurant, and he delivered, a throughly enjoyable evening with lots of great variety of songs. It left customers wanting dancing and wanting more with one saying she wished it would never end. Amazing night !!! Big thank you to Steve "

"Just a few words to say how much everyone enjoyed your band's playing at Gillian and Jeremy's wedding on Saturday evening. Your calling of the dances was excellent and you succeeded in getting lots of folk on to the dance floor. Many had never been to a ceilidh before, but you made it so easy for them to understand the steps. It was a super evening from start to finish and much fun was had by all. Several guests were singing your praises. Thank you all very much indeed for your lively contribution to the wedding reception."
