Review Centre: Classical Ensembles

"Nicola and Laura played for my wedding (both cellists), at the ceremony, reception and wedding breakfast. String Musicians have made it so easy and stress free for myself, during the planning and also on the wedding day. Once I told them what I wanted for the music (from the style of music to specific pieces), I did not need to worry about anything else. They worked with the registrar from the council to coordinate cues during the ceremony, so the transition between music pieces was seamless. Many guests commented how well they played throughout the day! Thank you!"

"I booked Moon River for a medical conference dinner to play during the drinks reception and a formal three-course dinner. They were extremely professional to deal with at every level, as well as being flexible and reliable. The sets they played were varied, some songs being very modern adaptations and others traditional, and were delivered to a very high musical standard. I received many compliments about the occasion and would definitely recommend Moon River to others."

"We booked the Capriccio Quartet for our recent wedding and they were a superb addition. Lynette was extremely helpful in sorting our playlist and they were happy to set up under a gazebo in little more than a field, however the effect and ambiance they created was beautiful and compliments flooded in from so many guests. They played a great mix of modern and classical and were so easy to work with and organise (which is essential with everything else happening on a wedding day) that I have no hesitation is giving them 5 stars and thoroughly recommending them."

"Hello Anne, Thankyou I had a wonderful time. But it would have been nothing without the string quartet. They played so beautifully, honestly everyone was enthralled. I had to stop them playing as they would have gone over their Time!!!! Only minor problem, the one man band arrived early and started setting up thus allowing very little time for the quartet. But they took it in their stride. Thank You so much Anne for providing us with such a fab night. Who knows we may have another occasion where we can use your quartets wonderful musical talents. "Can not rate highly enough! Every guest said how lovely the music was and the ambience was relaxing. I booked this as a surprise for my partner who loved it and was bought to tears by the music as she walked down the isle. "We booked Astri Strings for our celebration event at The Post Barn, Newbury. Jude was a delight to deal with during the booking stage, gave us a lovely pre-event call to check everything was in order and arrived as planned on the day. Jude and Vicki provided the perfect background music for our event with a gorgeous mix of Classical and Bridgerton style music to welcome guests arriving.
