"Tim and I wanted to thank you and the band for being so amazing at our wedding. I think every guest has complimented you guys and said how fantastic you were. You managed to make what was an already awesome day more spectacular, I think you captured everyone's energy and really gave us the perfect party for our wedding. The first dance was fantastic and we were blown away by all your talents. I think the band were a bit worried they wouldn't be allowed home for the chants of 4 more songs :) Also thanks for your all your help and prompt responses and information you gave us beforehand. Really makes wedmin easier when working full time too! Hopefully we can come and see you guys playing any gigs you have planned, so keep us posted Caro and Tim, wedding at The Poplar Tree in Durham – 21st June 2014 "

"Black Velvet Band Hoedown Trio / 7oaks TriClub Hoedown Barn Dance / November 2024 The Black Velvet Hoedown Trio were superb on Saturday 16th November for our annual 7Oaks TriClub dinner dance. We had 50 members turn up at the Chipstead Sailing Club Clubhouse, and I can tell you that as soon as Mike and his band started playing the first set, everyone got up to dance! There were high levels of energy in the room and the Hoedown Trio rose to the occasion spectacularly, matching our enthusiasm and giving us little anecdotes on the history of the dance with instructions as we cooled down and grabbed a different partner. The band were duly fed and watered with a delicious Greek buffet, and by special request they played a Greek dance to thank the chefs. I think Black Velvet were stunned with the energy levels and full dance floor - and there was no slacking from music or dancing. By the end of the second set we were all perspiring in a good way!!!! There have been calls from many members to make this an annual event, so rest assured we will re-book the chaps for a rematch! A fantastic evening had by all. Many thanks to Mike and the band. "

"We had this fantastic lot for my wedding - cannot recommend them enough. Mohinder was very responsive and helpful from the minute I made my enquiry and gave me many options I could pick from. Arrived on time at the venue on the actual day and the whole crowd loved them - they picked up two further bookings form the guests who to my wedding for their own respective weddings. Keep drumming away!!"

"Free Spirit played a range of music at our Neatherseal Community Group event.....the evening was a huge success with everyone up dancing and those that don't generally dance were cutting some fine moves!! Talented musicians and vocalists . Great evening. "

"We do not know how to thank Taylormade enough! From our very first interactions with Carley, we just knew we were in safe hands. So organised, but friendly and very quick, polite responses to any queries! On the day they were simply outstanding! Carley’s voice is just magical and the pair together are unreal. Our guests asked if we had auditioned them because they hadn’t heard anything so perfect! They really were a joy to have as part of our wedding and we would recommend them 10000%!! "Duncan and I just wanted to send a belated but enormous THANK YOU, for making our wedding on 11 May so special! The band was amazing, and our guests absolutely loved the ceilidh! It was such a privilege to have such great musicians playing, and people were particularly glad to have such a good caller as a lot of our guests didn't know the dances.
