"The band was fantastic - a great centrepiece for the evening reception! Excellent style and lots of fun for all generations. Four months on and we still hear a lot of praise for the band from all our guests. The logistics also worked perfectly, which is ever so important on the day. We would highly recommend them!"

"Soul Generations performed at our wedding this weekend just gone and they were everything we could have wanted! The whole band sounded brilliant and song choices were perfect. From first to last song we enjoyed every second of it, they interacted well with our guests, had a great sound from wherever you were in the venue, and kindly allowed us to use their PA system after to continue the music until the end of the night. I couldn't recommend them more!"

"Just returned from the show at Stamford this evening 22 Nov. Outstanding musical ability, total enthusiasm and hard work, which produced a sound which defied any attempt to keep your hands or feet from moving! They love their music and it showed. It was an superb evening and I will be back. "

"Just wanted to say a big thank you for doing our Village party on Friday night. It was an amazing success and at least 35 of us will be seeing you all again when you play at Jill and Tony's wedding anniversary party in July. Do send our thanks to the rest of the band. You are all amazing."

"I was skeptical at first that they could come up with the goods with only 7 players, but WOW did they deliver!!! The controlled tight and virtuoso ensemble playing was without peer. Great arrangements from Chris Smith, the whole band showed its multifarious diversity in every swinging number… and where did Stephen Davies learn to do all that stuff?! I commend them to the house!"

"I think it's safe to say that an evening with Ma Bessie & The Pig Foot Band proves that jazz is good for the soul. Reading Fringe Festival goers were treated to a journey through the music of Bessie Smith, empress of the blues at Shehnai in London Street. It was an evening of all things diva and jazz, and it was smooth and soulful, and had guests swaying in their seats and tapping their toes. Reading’s own Julia Titus (Ma Bessie) has such a rich quality to her voice - it's almost like velvet. When she hit some of those notes and showed off her vocal skills, I wanted to let out a 'whoop' or a 'yeah'! She really does revive the great divas of jazz, blues and soul. Everything just flowed and there was a really relaxed, almost informal vibe to the whole performance where it felt like there wasn't a divide between the audience and the band. We were all just hanging out listening to an evening of great music. Queen Bee was my favourite song - there was something quite sexy about it, I felt like I should have been wearing a red dress. Julia also sang a few songs off of her album called 'Life is Too Short', which were great. When you have a powerful singer like Julia, sometimes bands can get lost in the performance but that wasn't the case at all. The band are very much part of the Ma Bessie experience and are all very talented - they all need each other to complete the ultimate jazz show for the audience. I really enjoyed the solo with Matthew Foster on the guitar and Chuck Lloyd on the saxophone. "

"We just wanted to say thank you so much for your help in making our wedding on Good Friday such a great day. I'm sorry to have only spoken to you fleetingly but can safely say your sets were one of (if not the) highlights of the wedding. A complete dance floor filler and we had so many comments about how much people enjoyed your music. If you ever need any recommendations from real life couples, just give me a shout and I'd be happy to help. Many thanks and best wishes to you and the rest of the team. "
