"Hi Chris, I talked with you after my party on the night. But I want to say again, how amazing, brilliant, fantastic you and your band are (sorry I can’t remember their names). The evening was a great success because of you, I don’t think I’ve been to a party where so many people have danced so much. The way you blended the 20s to 40s music was seamless, excellently done. I and all my guests throughly enjoyed the evening, I’ve heard nothing but brilliant comments about you all, we had a fantastic night, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. I really can’t thank you enough I really can’t. All I can say is a MASSIVE THANK YOU to you all for everything you did to make my party brilliant. I’ve got to think of an excuse to book you again!! Take care & very best wishes, to you and your band. Regards, Paul."

"I had Sean sing at my wedding in August. He was really professional and added a little extra something special to the day. One of my guests actually went on to book him for a later event. I would highly recommend him, a must to any function in need of a singer to make the night extra memorable. Thank you Sean."

"I think it's safe to say that an evening with Ma Bessie & The Pig Foot Band proves that jazz is good for the soul. Reading Fringe Festival goers were treated to a journey through the music of Bessie Smith, empress of the blues at Shehnai in London Street. It was an evening of all things diva and jazz, and it was smooth and soulful, and had guests swaying in their seats and tapping their toes. Reading’s own Julia Titus (Ma Bessie) has such a rich quality to her voice - it's almost like velvet. When she hit some of those notes and showed off her vocal skills, I wanted to let out a 'whoop' or a 'yeah'! She really does revive the great divas of jazz, blues and soul. Everything just flowed and there was a really relaxed, almost informal vibe to the whole performance where it felt like there wasn't a divide between the audience and the band. We were all just hanging out listening to an evening of great music. Queen Bee was my favourite song - there was something quite sexy about it, I felt like I should have been wearing a red dress. Julia also sang a few songs off of her album called 'Life is Too Short', which were great. When you have a powerful singer like Julia, sometimes bands can get lost in the performance but that wasn't the case at all. The band are very much part of the Ma Bessie experience and are all very talented - they all need each other to complete the ultimate jazz show for the audience. I really enjoyed the solo with Matthew Foster on the guitar and Chuck Lloyd on the saxophone. "

"Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed last Saturday in Dorchester - I have loved Bessie Smith's music for 30+ years but never known much about her so it was great to learn stuff. And I absolutely loved your enthusiasm right through and the way you gave your musicians a chance to display their considerable talents too - I was amazed at the difference between your speaking and singing voice - dunno where you get all that throatiness and deepness from! It was terrific and so this is to say thank you so much."

"I booked Ma Bessie for a corporate summer event and they were brilliant, the music was spot on and their interaction and narrative with the crowd was superb. I had excellent feedback about Ma Bessie from the audience who absolutely loved the performance. Thank you so much, Julia Titus. I highly recommend and would book them again. "

"Soul Generations performed at our wedding this weekend just gone and they were everything we could have wanted! The whole band sounded brilliant and song choices were perfect. From first to last song we enjoyed every second of it, they interacted well with our guests, had a great sound from wherever you were in the venue, and kindly allowed us to use their PA system after to continue the music until the end of the night. I couldn't recommend them more!"

"Thank you for singing at our Ball on Saturday night! It was a pleasure to meet you and great to hear you sing so brilliantly to our (noisy!) audience. I hope you enjoyed the experience as much as they did, we had so many nice comments and compliments on the night and since then."

"Motown Memories was absolutely amazing. I knew they would be good from the videos, but they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone has been talking about how good they were ever since. Unbelievable talent aside (I truly mean it- unbelievable!) They were just wicked to deal with from start to finish, true professionals but totally personable and everything you could want! Ione is a dream vocalist, and the guys are fab. Top-tier music selections and medleys. The DJ set/request hour was wicked too and music in between. They vibed off the crowd and the crowd, them! If you are reading this ... Take it as a sign to book them! You won't regret it. 10/10 impressive, I couldn't have asked for more. We love you guys! Xx"

"They were so accommodating and even added a new song to their repertoire as I requested Gary Smiths favourite song of Bring Me Sunshine, he was over the moon when he heard it. So many of our guests were mesmerized by Max and the music, we had lots commenting on how fantastic they were and how lovely it was to have a proper band playing! Everything was perfect from the initial e-mail to the very end, I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you so very much"

"We would like to thank your band for playing at Eltham Palace and for helping make our wedding day so fantastic. The band and singers surpassed our expectations and Paul and I, and all of our guests had a brilliant time. Not only were we impressed by your expertise, we were also amazed at the breadth of music that you played. Johanna Ashley-Down commented that you were the best band that had ever played at an Eltham Palace Wedding. It has been a pleasure working with you. Thank you again for helping to make our day so special. You made our evening!"

"Absolutely amazing band! So much better than I imagined from their promo videos. Literally, everyone at the party adored them and thought thye were awesome (that word was used several times). They were also just lovely people who were a pleasure to have around. The singing was off the charts and I can not recommend them highly enough."

"Motown Memories were absolutely incredible. They played a beautiful acoustic set in the gardens for our drinks reception, then two awesome sets for our evening do. They learnt our requested song for our first dance and played it exactly they way we wanted it, and they had everyone up and dancing all evening! They were also absolutely delightful the whole time, and even let me have a sing myself. We couldn’t have asked for a better band!"
