"I wanted to say a huge thank you, as you were amazing, you completely made our night!! We could not get over how good you sounded, and the amount of people who commented on the band I know everyone felt the same. I loved how involved with us the singer was, and also we thought the band were so lovely and accommodating. We were thrilled we booked you!!! I’m so glad you were looked after, as honestly you really did make the night for us!! Also on a side note but all the ladies thought you were all very good looking haha!! Also a lot of people said they would think of booking you, as you were so good! Thank you again for making our night so special!! Couldn’t have wished for it to be better, and I’ve dreamed of that since I was little – fantastic!!"

"We searched for a few days to find a non cheesy wedding band. Soul Generations had a great repertoire and their performance was excellent. Mariam’s voice is incredible. If you don't want the standard cheesy wedding band, would definitely recommend. "

"Hi Will, Now that we are back from Honeymoon, we really wanted to send you an email, just to say a big thank you to you and the band for being such an enjoyable and big part of our wedding day. We loved the music, it was exactly what we were looking for and have had great feedback from other guests. During the party there was a nice mix of songs to suit all ages that you get at a wedding. The quality of the music was excellent throughout (well except for those drunk idiots destroying Delilah at the end) and most of all it helped to create the good fun atmosphere that we were looking for. A special mention also for the first dance......we have not seen the video of it yet, but I remember thinking in the moment how wonderful it sounded and how good it was to have a quality live band playing for the first dance! A special mention to you for the wonderful Piano on this and of course to the female singer (sorry we did not get her name) who was delightful. We also wanted to mention your solo spot during dinner. Again, a great selection of songs that helped to support the ambience of the occasion and what else can I say, but just top quality. Thanks also for letting us use your mics for the speeches....sorry they overran so much. So in summary, it is just a massive thank you to you and your band, we are delighted that we had you all performing at the wedding......its amazing what you can find on a night out in Bristol!! :) "

"You all play such great swing music, real foot-tapping and memorable numbers, putting it over in fine style with much good humour, which comes over very well to an audience. There is so much talent from you all with a switch so easily from instrument to instrument its fantastic. Also some terrific singing and to have four vocalists on the night as well was a bonus. Simone is as splendid as ever and a delight to listen to, with some great numbers too from that next door 'lad' in voice and on the sax. I was also impressed with some good horn blowing whilst playing the piano at the same time! Quite a feat and impressed many of my friends who watched in admiration! But thanks to you all for giving us all an enjoyable and memorable night."

"I think it's safe to say that an evening with Ma Bessie & The Pig Foot Band proves that jazz is good for the soul. Reading Fringe Festival goers were treated to a journey through the music of Bessie Smith, empress of the blues at Shehnai in London Street. It was an evening of all things diva and jazz, and it was smooth and soulful, and had guests swaying in their seats and tapping their toes. Reading’s own Julia Titus (Ma Bessie) has such a rich quality to her voice - it's almost like velvet. When she hit some of those notes and showed off her vocal skills, I wanted to let out a 'whoop' or a 'yeah'! She really does revive the great divas of jazz, blues and soul. Everything just flowed and there was a really relaxed, almost informal vibe to the whole performance where it felt like there wasn't a divide between the audience and the band. We were all just hanging out listening to an evening of great music. Queen Bee was my favourite song - there was something quite sexy about it, I felt like I should have been wearing a red dress. Julia also sang a few songs off of her album called 'Life is Too Short', which were great. When you have a powerful singer like Julia, sometimes bands can get lost in the performance but that wasn't the case at all. The band are very much part of the Ma Bessie experience and are all very talented - they all need each other to complete the ultimate jazz show for the audience. I really enjoyed the solo with Matthew Foster on the guitar and Chuck Lloyd on the saxophone. "

We truly could not recommend Murray Clarke highly enough. Even from our initial contact to discuss our requirements, we knew we had the right man for the job. He put us at ease immediately with his personable friendly manner and felt like we were chatting to an old friend who knew exactly what we required. Then the day of our wedding arrived and he did not disappoint, his amazing voice and energy had everyone dancing and singing along, young and old alike.
