Review Centre: Christmas Bands

"The Haystacks Band performed at our wedding party at The Pinkneys Arms in Pinkneys Green, and exceeded all expectations. Helpful, communicative, professional, talented, and above all fun! They have a great set list with a fantastic mix of classic and modern songs, but were also willing to adapt to our wishes - with a high proportion of cat lovers in the audience, their version of Smelly Cat (by Phoebe from Friends) went down especially well. They got everyone dancing, including me... and it's notoriously difficult to get me to dance! Brilliant feedback from all our friends too. Thanks so much Rachel & Haystacks Band for helping to make our party so enjoyable."

"Lara was great from the initial contact. We went over her song list and selected songs as well as adding a few. Lara also helped with my wife and getting the crowd party going when my wife played the sax. "

"Somerset Soul played at our wedding reception yesterday and I can not recommend them enough. Prompt, professional, good fun, all-around great people! Rebecca’s voice is unreal. They were energetic and engaging, they had the whole room dancing from start to finish and they learnt and played our first dance song so beautifully. Book them immediately! "

"I first stumbled across Dave one afternoon while walking through Dean Village in Edinburgh. I heard music drifting from under the Dean Bridge and was instantly drawn to it. There he was, playing and singing with such warmth and soul that I stood in awe for quite some time. I took his card that day, never knowing how beautifully our paths would cross again. When my now-husband proposed and we began planning our wedding in Loch Lomond, we knew we wanted Dave to be part of it. He played during our champagne reception, joined by a saxophonist, and created the most magical atmosphere. His infectious smile and genuine warmth shone through his music, captivating not only us but all of our guests. Everyone loved him as much as we did! We’ll treasure those memories forever and know we’ll be inviting him again for future celebrations. Thank you, Dave, for sharing your incredible gift with us."

"We had the pleasure of having Andrew play at our wedding at the end of May. I can honestly say that it was an absolute joy to work with Andrew - right from the beginning he was an incredibly professional and kind person to speak with and graciously learned a number of pieces we had in mind for our ceremony along with our chosen hymns. We received an overwhelming amount of comments on the day and in the weeks that followed with guests asking who ‘the amazing chap playing the piano so beautifully’ was. Our Minister in particular was extremely impressed and commented on Andrew’s talent, professionalism and his ability to make everything flow so perfectly. Having Andrew there added a huge amount to our church wedding - he really was just wonderful. If you are considering booking Andrew, I would absolutely encourage you to do so - I can assure you that you will be very glad you did! "Stargazers were fantastic last night. Phoebe and the band’s performance was utterly jaw-dropping, and the set list was spot on, and they sounded so tight. Really made the night even more special, everyone was on their feet....even my 89 year old Grandad. Couldn’t recommend enough."
