"Wendy was superb from the first communication. Very efficient and on the day turned up an hour or so before start time to prepare. Wendy is a lovely person but fantastic Sax Player too, all our guests commented on how great she was and how lovely it was to arrive with Wendy playing in the background. Would definitely book her again and would thoroughly recommend her to anyone wanting some lovely background music. Great Job Wendy. Thanks Robbie and Caroline "

"We booked Americana for our anniversary Barn Dance which was attended by around 200 people. They had a caller who helped everyone learn the steps. It was a great evening! We had the opportunity to discuss what was wanted directly with the band prior to the event which was helpful and reassuring. The band subsequently put together a great set with a fabulous selection of songs which were performed brilliantly. The interval music was also well received. We had nothing but positive feedback from our guests, so a successful evening! Very happy with our choice of band for this special event."

A lot of our guests (some of whom are professional/semi-professional players themselves in other ceilidh bands in England and Scotland!) commented on the high standard of your musical performance as well as your ability to inspire them to put their feet on the dance floor without too many mishaps. "When we were looking for the band for our wedding, we wanted a band that had a wide variety of songs from different eras in their repertoire with the ability to perform big powerful ballads and that is exactly what we go with W!RED. As soon as we heard Sue’s incredible voice. We knew they were the band for us and booked them. As soon as we got a couple of months of the wedding I dropped Sue a message. She called me back and was really helpful and reassuring and put me in touch with another member of the band Martin. We arranged a call to go over the details. Martin was friendly and welcoming straight away. Never having booked a band before we didn’t know how much or how little we’d need to be involved, but Martin simply went through a few details with us and then handled the rest. Prior to our wedding Martin took the trouble to edit a pre-recorded dedication. Together with our choice of first dance songs, so that it all went smoothly on the night. He also sent over their set list so we could make some requests. On the night, the band set-up quickly and without fuss and had a playlist on as early as they could to get our guests warmed up. Martin had a quick chat with me about timings for the evening for our cake cutting and first dance, then as soon as that was complete they went straight into their sets and had everyone up on the dance floor for the rest of the night, even finishing with a couple of encores. They were then good enough to leave a playlist running whilst they packed away. Meaning that we had music right up to the end of the evening. Everybody in the band was friendly and helpful. Particularly Martin. That’s not to mention that they are also frankly brilliant at what they do. Sues’s voice is incredible and recordings we heard before as good as they are don’t do it justice. Many guest commented on how much they enjoyed the performance. They even got the seal of approval from a few people I know who are musically hard to please. A brilliant night, enhanced by W!RED. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone "

"Blue Jewel were the best band for my daughter's wedding. They were easy to liaise with ahead of time, and their performance in the evening ceilidh was just what we hoped for. Good music, a lovely relaxed manner from all performers, and patient teaching of the dances to the guests. Our guests did not want them to stop! We would whole-heartedly recommend them for such an occasion. Thank you!"
