"Small Days guitarist Dave Merrick was the master of ceremonies, with vocalist Natalie Davies and sax player Brendan Whitmore joining him for the live songs. Dave unfolded the story at a well-judged pace, with records of Bessie Smith’s evocative voice even drawing applause from the attentive audience whenever they were included. The live contribution was important, too, and Natalie wisely steered away from imitating Bessie’s full-throated contralto to emphasis the singer’s lyrics with an upbeat swing on numbers like Need A Little Sugar and Send Me To The Electric Chair. Brendan Whitmore switched between soprano and tenor sax, the former particularly eloquent on Need A Little Sugar, the latter coming to the fore on T’Aint Nobody’s Business If I Do. All in all it was a satisfying journey through blues history with one of the great women who made the music what it became. "What a great act! Several people really felt a fight had broken out and were worried – Luckily I knew better and of course not only were they relieved to hear the singing but people really loved it. It was right to choose the songs we did as quite a few people knew the operas and the young who often didn’t enjoyed hearing them as well. Several people told me they felt you all have lovely voices and asked how we found you so you never know it might led to more work. Hope so. But from both Stephen and me many many thanks for providing such a fun experience and a lovely reminder for Stephen [and others] of why they like opera so much."

"I would appreciate it if you could pass sincere thanks to the choir on behalf of my mother and myself. Their music was beautiful and provided a fitting and solemn tribute to my father. I know he would have loved the music, in particular Heilig by Schubert. He really loved German choral music, and although I will never know if he had heard this particular piece, I know he would have enjoyed it. We had many comments from people who attended, saying how impressed they were with the choir, (including Father Francis) and the music really was very well received by all."

"Nev and Russ are great in a pub, getting people singing along to songs from different decades that people know. They have a tight sound with two guitars and vocal harmonies. With just the two of them they can fit into a fairly small space. They also adapted really well to our family friendly early evening music night with lots of younger children and parents. They relate well to all ages, come across as friendly and just happy to be making music, which is infectious. "

"Jack has performed at both Westfield Stratford & Westfield Shepherds Bush on various occasions, he has been a revelation to The Westfield Presents stage and causing such an impact from his performances, I’ve had TV scouts contact me asking for his details, various other people wanting to book him for their events, including an event in Cyprus for an international footballers wedding who happened to be walking passed as Jack was performing. Jack draws a fantastic crowd of regular fans as well as attracting new followers every performance. We are proud to call Jack one of our regular performers and would welcome him back to entertain the crowds’ anyday! "
