"Hired the locals for my 30th birthday party and couldn't be happier with them. I picked them as they have a great play list and were reasonably priced, however the locals went above and beyond and made the night. They were so attentive to my wishes and so accommodating. The play list was so good it was hard to pick only 30 songs, and the band brought everything with them including lighting. I would definitely recommend them and would love to hire them again in the future "

"The perfect band for a party. Kemptown Hot Club performed at my leaving party at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge University, when I retired as President. I think almost every guest complimented me on the music. Beautiful vocals and a wonderful swing sound of the 1920s to 1940s. Kemptown Hot Club helped to create a relaxing vibe to the party while ensuring they never drowned out the conversation."

"Thank you for organising the Jazz music for our wedding reception. You played exactly the music we wanted and created a wonderful atmosphere for the cocktails. My Dad was thrilled as the music was from his favourite era and he knew a lot of it. "

"From start to finish they were amazing! They made it so easy for us, liaising directly with the venue which took an extra worry away from us. They played for our drinks reception and then again for the evening guests arrival, they were fantastic! Our guests loved them and their music, they played both current songs and classics, putting their own RnB stamp on each song which really got the guests ready for dancing the night away They made our day, we would highly recommend them both"

"The whole day was amazing. Jean produced many tears of joy when the ceremony began with the choice of music and the transition of the harp from the ceremony room to the reception room was so well done that nobody noticed! "Saw Mr and Mrs Jones on the recent Britannia Cruise and was very impressed. The acoustic playing was sublime, coupled with some beautiful vocals. The perfect music to compliment the ambience of the ship’s atrium. Could kick myself for not picking up a copy of the CD (saw a sign saying it was available, but forgot to follow through!) - but will definitely hunt a copy down."

"Quick note to say a massive thank you for Saturday night in Northleach. After a slow start - I think there was a mixture of nervousness and a warm evening outside! - everyone had a fantastic time. I've had so many people saying that it's either been ages since they went to a Ceilidh or had never ceilidh'd before and they loved it. Lots of people passing on thanks to you and the band too - excellent stuff as usual. The caller (who's name I didn't catch) has been singled out for her patience! Another Ceilidh is definitely on the cards, though perhaps this time in the winter - I don't think I've sweated that much for years!"
