Review Centre: Function Bands

"Having a band at our wedding was a given. I spent months agonizing over which one to choose, but when I saw Eccentric Pony's You Tube clips, I knew I had found something very special. I booked them about a year in advance without consulting anyone, because I was afraid my guests and I would miss out if I didn't act soon. We had a wedding that celebrated everything we loved: Star Wars, music and our love of 80s films. It was no surprise that our first dance was going to be to The Glory of Love from The Karate Kid 2, and because we had a band, we really wanted it to be performed live. It was not on Eccentric Pony's playlist, however. Jimmy promised us the band would learn it especially, and would perform it exactly as it is on the Peter Cetera track. And that is exactly what happened. My husband and I were thrilled. Eccentric Pony played everything we had identified on their playlist to such an incredible standard that by the end, even the most firmly rooted wall flowers were filling up the dance floor. They built up the energy through the night and the atmosphere was electric. Thank you so much, Eccentric Pony, you made our already exceptional wedding legendary."

"The StereoBeats played at our wedding on 3rd August at the Keavil House hotel and absolutely exceeded our expectations. They were so accommodating and even played an old school mega mix that they learned upon request, which was more than we could ask for. "We need to thank you. What a fantastic night! We booked The Coverz after they played a friends wedding a few years ago. They genuinely made the evening of our wedding one of the best nights we will ever have. From expertly learning our first song to ensuring that the entire wedding party were on the dance floor all night - there were no negatives whatsoever. Everyone at the wedding commented how great they were and the demand for an encore was huge. The bar was empty all night because people could not stop dancing. We could not have asked for anything more so thank you so much"

"This band should be considered for any event. My regrets were that they weren't there for the whole event, a mistake on my part. A difficult audience, but they performed superbly and it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their evening. Certainly for any military functions they should be your first contact. Laura and the band, thank you so much for making my RSMs evening the focus of the night."

"Fantastic band who really got the wedding party going. Everything pre wedding was arranged smoothly and plenty of scope to choose songs from the provided playlist. The guys turned up on time and mixed well with the guests before and after sets. Music and vocals were excellent and everyone felt they went out of their way to make it a special day for Julia and me, as well as our family and friends. Would highly recommend! "

"We booked Partyzone for our wedding reception and wow these guys were amazing!! Prior to the wedding, communication with Ben was extremely efficient and one less thing to worry about as we knew that Ben had it all in hand. On the night they played a great mix of songs that had the dance floor rocking from the moment they came on! The guests were all shouting 'more' by the end of the evening and we were even treated to a couple more songs. You can really tell the band love what they do by the energy and passion they showed on the stage, this just added too the whole atmosphere of the night. We are so pleased that we booked them for our wedding and can't thank them enough for their amazing performance!! We are looking forward to seeing Partyzone again at one of their next gigs so we can relive the wedding!!"

"Booking through last minute musicians was professional and easy! The Lost (band we booked) Adam was really good throughout the booking, responding to emails quickly, providing an extensive set list to pick songs we definitely wanted, ones we didn’t mind either way and ones we didn’t want. He also sent a test clip singing our first dance song to see if we wanted the track or the band - we definitely wanted the band! The band were so good and kept a full dance floor all night, throughout their sets and DJ’ing. They had a friendly and professional attitude. Thanks so much! Ellie & Tom"
