"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Georgina’s Wedding Ceilidh – July 2025 The band were a great edition to our wedding party event. They arrived on time and had no issues setting up independently with minimal direction from us as hosts. They gave good directions in terms of getting us started with a first dance, and set the tone for the two sets they played perfectly – giving great instructions to the mostly complete novice crowd present, with a good dose of humour alongside. Everyone there from small children through to retirees was able to participate. I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again for a future event, or to recommend them to others."

"As Mayor of Whiston I have twice booked Sarah for various events, I find Sarah both proffessional and friendly , which is very hard to achieve in a packed room .Sarah was exceptional both times with the audience asking for "more please" Whiston thanks you Sarah , and you have definitely made my year go with a swing . "On the business and organising side, I have to say that MIB offer tremendous value for money, backed by the highest levels of professionalism and heaps of clear and concise communication. It was great to run an event where such a key element was not on the worry list. The guys were so up for it and on top of their game that several people asked if it was ‘our usual band’, thinking that we must have worked together before! "

"We hired the Cheers for a summer party in our garden for my husband's 40th birthday. What a great find! They were so professional and pleasant. We thought they were fab and most, if not all, of our guests complimented them. They judged the mood really well and played some really great background and dance music - perfect for our occasion. "The band were absolutely excellent. Communications with Rhona before hand were very good and she made sure everything was clear before the date. The band were very professional on the day and it went completely smoothly. I'm very pleased with booking them. They sounded brilliant during their set. Could not recommend enough. "

"Glo are a great band. Brilliant set-list which really got my guests up dancing. Nice guys too. We had them for a 50th birthday party but they would be equally good for weddings etc and are suitable for all ages groups as their repertoire covers several decades worth of top music."

"We could not have made a better choice than picking the Hound Dogs to play at our wedding. So many people came up to us afterwards to find out how we heard about them. The dance floor was full the entire time they played. They were a big part of what made our wedding such a success."

"My wife and I got married a few weekends ago and were lucky enough to have Flynn and Tonic’s play at our wedding. We were highly recommended them by a family member who saw them and loved them at a wedding the year before. From the moment I spoke with David he was incredibly professional and personable and followed everything up on email. We stayed in regular contact in the build up to the wedding, discussing options, song selections, timings etc and I felt completely assured I was in safe hands. Most importantly on the day itself Flynn and Tonic’s were absolutely amazing, we opted for an acoustic set during our reception drinks and then 3 band sets after our meal. The dance floor was completely full all night for all 3 sets and the music selection was fantastic!! They were so much fun and so great at reading the room and playing to the crowd!! I knew they were great but they completely and utterly superseded our expectations!! We had so many guests complimenting how good the band were and they absolutely made the day amazing. I’m ecstatic we found this band and I’m so grateful we got to have them on our special day. I cannot recommend the Flynn and tonics enough for any event but most importantly a wedding!! Flynn and tonics, Thank you for making our day so special, we are really grateful and can’t wait to see you again. Marc."
