Review Centre: Acoustic Bands

"Wow, what can I say about Lunar Acoustic apart from AMAZING!!!! Our wedding was late June 2019 and in May (quite last minute really) we decided we wanted a singer/group/guitarist to play at our wedding – exactly what, was to be decided. We did some Googling and came across Lunar Acoustic. We looked over their webpage and listened to their music videos and decided to make contact. Christina called me not long after I made contact and she was lovely. I knew straight away we were going to get along. Following on from the call I received an email explaining all the different packages on offer. I knew the date was sought after but before we committed I wanted to listen to them in person. We asked where they were playing and went along for a listen. They were great and we decided there and then to confirm the booking with them for the all-day package. On the day of the wedding Lunar Acoustic arrived nice and early and set up ready to sing to our guests on arrival. We had three songs sung during the wedding along with some beautiful acoustic instrumental tunes. It was perfect. Following the ceremony we had a lovely drinks reception but first Lunar Acoustic joined in with the outside celebrations and of course the surprise car  Following this Lunar Acoustic waited until the time was right and then set up again and started playing while guests were chatting with each other. Before we knew it, it was time for the evening reception where Lunar Acoustic were playing two more sets and our first dance. Well, this was amazing. They did the first dance exactly how we asked and it was magical. I also knew I wouldn’t hear the ceremony songs (due to excitement) so requested they played the songs from the ceremony at certain points again in their sets and they did. It was great listening to them again throughout the day. Lunar Acoustic were fabulous. Professional from start to finish and every guest commented on how amazing they were. During the arrival and drinks reception the volume was enough that you could thoroughly enjoyed the music but still chat and the evening was lively enough to get you dancing right into the night. I felt like Lunar Acoustic were guests at the wedding rather than musicians, as they fitted right in. I have recommend them to everyone I know and I know every one of the guests will be doing the same. Not only did they sound amazing they were dressed for the part too. "Ceilidh With Us were amazing! We hired them for a post wedding celebration party and they were everything we wanted them to be. Super helpful in all the contact in the run up to the event and made us feel very relaxed. On the day they could not have been nicer and were super flexible/helpful. The caller for the Ceilidh was excellent - kept our guests very entertained! Thank you so much. I would 100% recommend you to anyone."

"Amy and Tolek made a wonderful contribution to Mum's funeral service. Amy spent some time ensuring she was using the correct versions of the hymns and songs and the guitar accompaniment by Tolek gave a more gentle and intimate feeling. It was all we had wished for. Thank you. "

"The Hot Hats played three great sets at our wedding, having our guests dancing from the first song. Their music complimented the warm summer evening that we were luckily enough to have and our guests commented on how much they were enjoying the band. The Duo are personable and professional and I would definitely recommend them to others. Thanks again for a great evening!"

"It's hard to put into words just how fantastic Jazz Eclipse were on our wedding day. They’re both truly incredible musicians that sounded so fantastic and being an acoustic duo didn’t stop them from bringing the party! I think if anyone is looking for amazing music that sounds like the demos alongside talent, kindness and great communication then look no further these are the guys for the job!"

"Whilst some duos stick to a traditional & tried and tested route, A & B have avoided that. They have chosen a hip approach to their covers and original set! Not a light-hearted approach either! They are here to play... to give a new listening experience... a must see in the LIVE! Unique in all aspects."

"Phenomenal! The Brewskis played at our wedding in April 2023 and were the highlight of the evening! They entertained a crowd of nearly 200 guests with a fantastic live performance of all of our favourite songs. So many of the guests were raving about the band's performance for weeks after the event and took their details. We have been to a lot of weddings over the years and have never seen a band go down so well with everyone so we are delighted that we chose this great group of guys for our wedding! The quality of the music was top notch and the instrumentalists/singer nailed every note; they kept the party going all night! We spoke to John a few weeks before the day to go through all of the arrangements and the songlist (they have an extensive repertoire!) and he was extremely friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to fit in with the setting and timings of the day. We thoroughly recommend this band for any event!"

"Huge thank you to you and the band for the brilliant performance at our wedding. Tupelo Honey was perfect (although I fear there will be limited opportunities for re-use for you!), I loved Sally Maclennane, it was great to see a lot of people who probably haven't danced in years hit the dance floor, and Nicole particularly enjoyed being the guest drummer on Mustang Sally. We had a lot of people saying how excellent the band was."

"A fabulous group of individuals very professional and a joy to listen to whether you have a large audience or like mine quite small, whatever The Skippers can tailor it to your event keeping your guests entertained all evening. I absolutely loved having them st my event on Saturday so many lovely comments from my guests. Thank you all so much for making my evening special!"
