"We had the pleasure of working with the Warwickshire Quartet at a wedding we organised recently. Their performance during the ceremony and the drinks reception was amazing and they blended classic with contemporary pieces effortlessly. The wedding was themed to the Grand National and they had a piece of music arranged especially for it which suited the occasion perfectly and in the words of the Mother of the Bride ‘made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up’. It was great to work with friendly, professional and above all extremely talented musicians and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to our future clients. "Thames Valley String Quartet performed at our wedding on Saturday 4th May 2019 in Shrewsbury and we couldn’t be happier! They played as our guests arrived, the ceremony and reception drinks. From the initial enquiry we were extremely happy with the personal service we received from Kathryn, responses were helpful and quick - even when we were delayed ourselves. We took a while to decide on our song choices, but Kathryn and the rest of the group were very accommodating and played a huge range of styles for us, from a suggestion from the grooms grandad to learning a song especially for the groom (Final Fantasy sound track) which he absolutely loved for before the ceremony. On to classical and modern pop for the rest. Even though the sun was shining the air was cold being an outdoor ceremony but they all played through it like troopers to enable us to have our dream ceremony. Once again, a huge thank you to all of you in Thames Valley String Quartet for making the journey to be a part of our wedding day, both the two of us and our guests LOVED having you there and listening to you play. We highly recommend booking with Thames Valley String Quartet for any event with their diverse repertoire, skills and great personal service. Thank you again! "

"Caroline and Luke played at our wedding on Feb 24th in Bury St Edmunds and I cannot recommend Element String enough. They were absolutely fantastic and I feel lucky to have had them playing at our wedding. So many guests commented on the quality and variety of the music they played and how it created a great atmosphere for the event. From the outset we received quick responses from Caroline and a friendly and flexible approach. She was happy to adjust length of time and number of musicians to fit our budget. We had the duo to play as guests were arriving and having welcome drinks , then through the ceremony itself and for most of the drinks reception that followed. We had thought we would be indoors on the day given it was Feb but due to uncharacteristically hot weather , the drinks were taken outside onto the terrace. Caroline and Luke being very flexible moved outside with us which was amazing. The group have a good repertoire to select from so you can have classical for the more formal moments in your day and something more jazzy afterwards to give a party feel. The duo created the perfect level of sound for the size of our ceremony room and number of guests (around 85). If we had a greater budget we would have taken the trio or even quartet without thinking as their previous reviews were so positive. I’m sad that I didn’t get to meet Caroline and Luke properly to say a big thank you. On the wedding day itself everything just seems to happen around you without you having any chance to veer off schedule. I bumped into Caroline by chance as I was being shown into the dining room and she was lovely , very warm and friendly. She and Luke arrived nice and early to set up and what is great is they are fully acoustic. Everything you hear is fully their talent and no electrics/amplifiers and wires required so it is easy to set up in almost any part of the room you require. They created such atmosphere for our ceremony - I could not have been more delighted with them. If you are looking for musicians for your wedding or other event that are extremely talented in their range of music, flexible , easy to deal with , fairly priced and transparent - then look no further than Element Strings. "

"I am just writing to say a huge thanks once again for all of the committee's hard work and support in organising our Brahms Requiem Concert last night- a real masterwork and so beautifully and detailed in its craftsmanship. I thought the Chamber Orchestra under Anne Tupling's leadership complemented the choir really way, never threatening to obscure or overwhelm the vocal sound but nurturing and supporting in all the best ways. "
