"Thank you for a fantastic performance. The Warrant Officers’ & Sergeants’ Mess, Christmas Function 2019 appreciated the efforts from the band. The music was professionally delivered, sounded quality and enhanced the atmosphere. The performance enhanced the ‘Peaky Blinders’ themed event with tunes that everyone could dance, sing and relate to. All that attended have mentioned that you were brilliant and have walked away with lasting memories of the event."

"We just wanted to say thank you to you and to the rest of the band for the most fantastic two sets at our wedding. Friends and family are still asking us about you all and saying it's the best band they've heard at a wedding. We were delighted with all the songs that you chose and especially grateful to you for playing 'Tonight I'll be Staying Here with You'. The accordion sounded great in that song! You judged the mood of the evening perfectly and the music moved along beautifully in response to this. I think it was a real highlight of the day for us and all of our guests, especially the children who loved seeing you all playing your instruments."

"I realised we never said THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You lot absolutely 100% nailed it! We are both so so happy with the glorious soundtrack you provided for our party. The music was amazing, and the energy you all bought was incredible. We knew it was going to be good, but had no idea it would be that good! You got the party started in ways we could never have imagined! Everyone had the best time dancing to your sound, we could not have wished for more. "The band, what can I say? Absolutely brilliant! Words are hard to capture what they bring to the occasion. They are a four piece band, very talented, very professional and fabulous live. Mike was fantastic to work with when we were planning the occasion and really attentive to detail. The repertoire is so extensive that you are spoilt for choice. Everybody from all age groups found them really entertaining and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We had complements with regard to the band weeks after the event. We have been asked for their details by guests on numerous occasions. In short they are a really lovely, good looking (according to the female guests), polite, massively talented group of friends who’ll invite you into their world for an evening you will never forget. We are looking for an excuse to hire them again … We’d definitely recommend House of Chords. Thank you so much for making our evening so special."

"Absolutely incredible band! We booked Straight Up for our Wedding. They were really friendly. Very professional. They sounded unbelievably good! All our guested mentioned how good they sounded and the energy they brought. The lead singer has an amazing voice. The lead guitarist puts chills up your spine. They made the night. Cannot overstate how happy we were. Highly recommend! "

" What a superb band! It's was a huge privilege to have you play at our wedding, the guests loved it and there wasn't a moment that the dance floor was ever empty!! When booking the Ashdowne, we were initially drawn to the initial repertoire of indie and rock songs the band had on offer and not to mention the talent of both the guitarists, drummer and singers. The band played acoustic and full band sets which didn't disappoint. A truly talented band, who would not look out of place at a major music festival!! Professional through and through and accommodating to all our needs leading up to and during our special day. Thank you every so much for making it such a wonderful day!!
