Review Centre: Acoustic Bands

"Steven and Paul have worked for me at three venues successfully for the last two years. The Orange Tree Derby, The Risley Park and The Hunting Lodge. The lads have been a dream to deal with and have never showed up late, cancelled last minute or caused any issues at all. All venue feedback has been fantastic and they’ve never failed to bring the house down. I have 25 acts on rotation at The Orange Tree and their first choice was the Covers Brothers this New Years. They absolutely smashed it! Cheers boys."

"Brian played a solo set for our New Year's Night and he smashed it. Though he was solo, his loop pedal made it feel like it was a full band playing. The crowd were loving it. Up dancing from the first song to the last. Can't wait to have him back!"

"We hired 4 members of Vocal Works Gospel Choir for our wedding in April 2022 at Clevedon Hall and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made! The director Tim was very responsive and helpful during the planning process and made everything easy to arrange. He was open to our ideas of where and when we wanted the choir to sing certain songs during the ceremony and they even learned a new song that was special to us. On the wedding day, they were on-time, professional, did exactly as we had planned, and they wowed everyone in attendance with their talent and beautiful voices! Their performance truly made the ceremony magical. We would hire you again in a heartbeat! Thank you VWGC!!!"

"My fiance and I are farmers and we really wanted the "Combine Harvester" song as our first dance. I know it sounds strange but John suggested he could make an alternative version that would be suitable. I was a little skeptical but excited to see if it was possible. True to his word he produced a stunningly, romantic and almost unrecognisable cover of the track with the lyrics remaining in tact perfect for our special day. I'll be forever grateful for him fulfilling our request and making my day so unique. Thank you John!!!!!"

"Saw this talented couple at a local bar recently and they were amazing. Although it was just the two of them, the sound that they produced was outstanding. I loved the various genres and tempos and the whole room was dancing and singing along . I would definitely recommend this professional duo for any type of function ."

"Gary and Steve performed at the joint Birthday party and dinner for my wife and eldest daughter. The thirty odd guests all enjoyed the music and performance. Gary was most efficient in taking the booking and all arrangements and I would not hesitate to recommend Kingfisher for a similar event."

"Mia and her Miacats played at our Silver Wedding Anniversary. They played as an acoustic duo as people arrived, nice and calm and in the background, but cranked it up with a great variety for two sets with the full band, and got everyone dancing. Many of our guests complimented us on our choice of band and the performance of the band, which was really great to hear. We would have no hesitation at all in hiring the Miacats again or recommending them to others."

"Thank you for visiting Redhill Town centre today, I'm so pleased to have heard your amazing voice from a distance to draw me in close to watch you/listen to you, and had to leave the wife to continue shopping while I watched. I brought your CD and really look forward to watching your FB page more updates. I'm a DJ of over 41 years (started in Redhill and traveled far) and only two or three times in that times have I been stopped by sounds (by choice) in the street by buskers. "Devon Duo are AMAZING! We seriously can not recommend them highly enough - they played at our wedding on 3.9.16; it absolutely poured with rain during our ceremony (yes outdoor ceremony..) at which they were playing us down the aisle, but they were so completely un-phased at the last minute dash for cover, playing all the songs we requested. In the evening, they returned to play for our after-party in a high top tipi - and had every single one of our guests dancing, smiling and having a brilliant time! The rain had caused some electrical difficulties, but again, they took to it like absolute pros until the issue was sorted. They are just so talented and their songs went down a storm, with our guests even asking for a on core (which they kindly did!). They played a mix of up-beat folksy / 50s rock songs, every single one of which was a massive crowd pleaser. Everyone has been commenting on how amazing they were and how much fun they had! 'Best wedding band ever' was a common review... thanks SO much guys! Matthew & Beth xx Book them, book them NOW!"
